How are yall sending ~100MB of video over email?
Gmail.com only supports 25MB apparently.
EDIT: I is dumb. I bet the web upload works... right?

Re: Anime USA AMV contest
The web upload seemed like it worked. Please let me know if it doesn't.
I also haven't done an MPEG2 encoding in a while. I tried to whip out mencoder but it just kept crashing. I tried AVISynth + HCEnc, but it only outputs a .m2v file and I forgot how to mux that with the audio.
So ultimately, I just took my utvideo master and ran it through "Handbrake" to spit out a .mkv file encoded in MPEG2. I've never touched Handbrake before, and the GUI options were just strangely named, so I'm not 100% sure that I got all the settings correct. So... I uploaded a MP4 that I know works just in case my MPEG2 version refuses to play on your hardware and a re-encode is necessary. (The MP4 was built at 1080p however).
I hope I did everything correctly

I attached a Google Drive link instead of attaching the file directly to the email...I hope that's alright.

Re: Anime USA AMV contest (submissions now closed, see upda
First of all I wish to say thank you as I take a few moments before continuing judging the AMV's submitted. so I wanted to say THANK you all for your participation and for bearing with me as I worked through problems! i can not say anything more about the contest till we get closer to the actual day, but THANK YOU!
another note: please note for the next week (till the 24th) I am accepting submissions for AMV after hours. this will be only a showing of amvs so remember the rules I have for the contest are still there but a few rules are relaxed as follows:
1) the amv does not have to be within the last year, nor does it matter if it's won before or not (just not in the AUSA 2014 contest)
2) the amount of violence and language and nudity can go to an "R" rating
3) any after hours submissions do NOT count towards contest limits.
