Always Bet On Blue (AMV Roulette Winner)

Post by Copycat_Revolver » Sat Mar 29, 2014 1:48 am

After a grueling trio of rounds, I have emerged victorious (and oddly moist) from the first ever AMV Roulette. The contest consists of three rounds where the participants must throw together a video in a week's time that conforms to randomly chosen requirements. Being born in Vegas, I have an innate talent for games of chance, and that is absolutely a real thing no matter what Dr. Roberts says with his crazy hobo science.

Image
Round 1 (4th place)
Music Requirement: 90's
Genre Requirement: Comedy
Special Requirement: At least ten seconds of on screen text
Image

Image
Round 2 (1st place)
Music Requirement: Song from a Movie Soundtrack
Genre Requirement: Fun
Special Requirement: At least ten seconds of lip sync
Image

Image
Round 3 (2nd place)
Music Requirement: Electronic (beep boop I'm a robot)
Genre Requirement: Dance
Special Requirement: At least ten seconds of characters dead/dying on screen
Image

And so it was. I'm happy I had the opportunity to participate in this contest. I had a lot of good competition and look forward to next year when I defend my title with a startling amount of name calling and petty mud slinging which will seem especially inappropriate when I choke and take 28th place before drinking myself into a stupor and stumble into the night, cursing and screaming.

I hope you all enjoy these videos as much as I enjoyed making them.

Also, shut up, sherlock.

I've watched The Perils of Galaxy Bouncing 4 or 5 times in a row now. Really love the quirky style of it, great job!

Blue Brain Conundrum and The Perils of Galaxy Bouncing are easily my two favorite videos from this competition. i enjoyed them a lot and you did a fantastic job with both especially under the time restraints. Bop It wasn't really my taste given the genre, but that was nicely done as well.
i somehow hadn't seen your amvs before roulette and went back through your video catalog to check out some older ones. i really appreciate your editing, so much character and originality

also congrats on the win :dino: and i'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with in next year's contest.

These sort of competitions are my bread and butter. If not for them I'd probably never finish anything.
And you didn't do half bad yourself. Rap Game has a special place in my heart.

That is a long, strange road my friend. And thank you so much for all the kind words. I greatly appreciate it.
