Yeah, well it's a bit different from rudeboys. Not that all rudeboys come from the ghetto's, but they are often actually hard, and can have actual gangs. Pikeys are just wannabes, and often just have their parents buy them loads of designer gear, are not hard at all, yet think they are the shit.

No, I don't believe they are pikers (stingy guy?) or pikes (fish?), or the other pikey (which I also think may be a British term) referring to 'caravan people'. Just another slang word that's come up and is generally known at least in the South East of England. Just designer wearing rudeboy wannabes that listen to UK garage and have their own kind of 'rudeboy' derivative slang.

Basically, as far as I can tell from what I've read, pikeys are the British, non rap equivalents of suburban rap poseurs here in the states. All bark, no bite, and cower in the corner when challenged.

Well back on topic, I almost always get considered older, I have never been carded for a pub (I have been to a pub four times underage, once at 15 during a school lunchreak). Over here they carpet card places like live gigs and nightclubs so nobody is ever suprised.
I am most commonly mistaken for being 23 or older and I am 19. The most ludicrous was a guy who thought I was 29.
The stranger thing about it is that I was late to start growing facial hair and as a result have very little growth to make me look older.
