I really like it!

You told the story in a very beautiful way. I didn't saw the anime yet... But amazing work, nice sync. Simple but amazing :)

That was really lovely & sweet. Great story-telling :D

Some of scenes during the fast hard cuts were hard to process (for really fast cuts simple compositions that make similar use of space help the viewer "see" them), and I'm not sure I liked the use of black during those lulls in the song, but the emotional impact of the piece is awesome. <3

Loved this video so much! A great recap of the series with solid mood/atmosphere and a good use of storytelling. good visuals, a solid utilization of the music in a great manner.

There were sometimes when the repeated hard cuts to the piano were a tad much, but otherwise a solid piece.

x2. I also didn't really like the audio cuts because I love this piano piece and I've heard it so many times that those cuts seemed really noticeable to me. Especially the ones near the start where you faded it out.

But apart from those two small mishaps, the AMV is fantastic. The mood is beautiful and you captured the essence of the anime wonderfully. I haven't seen many Sakamichi AMVs but I can certainly say this is the best one I've seen so far. I really loved it. Great work! <3

Just so everyone knows, Beyond the Slope finally has a local dl option now, so if you want to give it a star value or a QC, you can do so.
I encountered an error while uploading locally, so it took a little while for the org to fix itself and give me the upload option again.

I liked the atmosphere of this. But, as people have already said, the fast patterns of hard cuts were disturbing the flow.

This is all very fascinating to me. :) I knew doing those hard cuts would be a gamble, and I'm glad I did. It's given me some good demographic data.
It's really odd. People from audiences (namely people who know nothing about editing) really like the hard cuts. Some have said it's their favorite part. xD haha
However, editors really find it annoying. I got a similar reaction in 2008 with A Thousand Miles Per Second when I first used that technique. I find it interesting that the demographic seems to have not changed that much, but I'll have to wait until this video gets more views to actually map it out. This is all just observation at the moment.
But anyway, thank you all for your criticism and comments. It has been quite helpful. <3 ^^ I've gotten no replies on my last 2 or 3 amv announcements, so I am very grateful just to have responses this time.
