Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

You should read "The VidID / VidLink / Embed tags" @ http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =3&t=76342.

Now for the AMV. Dude, you got me when Yuno showed up haha! The scene with the eyes, oh so perfect! The syncing was pretty good, not perfect, but as good as you can ask for. The CC was pretty damn good aswell! As for the AMV itself, yes it is one of the best non-story AMVs I've seen in a while. The scene choices were pretty awesome, it did not look random at all. Keep up the good work, I would love to see what you can do next time!

Like crap : Straight render from vegas into mp4: 1280x720,29,97 fps, square pixels, progresive, constant 10 mil bps, audio : 44,1hz...128bps...trying to find right settings to do it anotherway..like vegas rendering to lagarith and encoding the lossy file with zarxgui to mp4 coz seems like direct render as mp4 from vegas has decent quality yet the filesize is too big...for this one especially...considering before i was getting like arround 80 Mb for 2 minutes at the same resolution/fps

If you render the video project as Lagarith (or UTVideo or Huffyuv), the resulting file is lossless. The idea is to lossily compress your source only once, right at the end of the video-making process, and using lossless codecs allows the video to be exported from the editing program to be compressed lossily for distribution by programs that are better at the job than your editing suite. If you have enough disk space you could export uncompressed, but just get Lagarith or UTVideo.

As well as the Youtube videos linked, there's a page in the guide that deals with compression and gives a better view of the Zarx264gui window:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... 64gui.html

Anyway, this the Announcement forum, not one of the technical ones. :P The video reminded me more of an extended trailer spot than anything else, and it was nice eye candy. The synch was tight to start with, and then it started drifting near the end. I don't see anything in the editing that suggests you were doing anything different, so maybe it's just a problem with the export. The audio does seem to cut out before the video finishes playing.

Quick edit: I don't mean it started drifting at one particular point, but it became noticeable about half way through and was pretty severe by the end, given how fast the cuts were.
