  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Madness - Invictus Studio

Spoiler :
Are you lost my little Fräulein?

Well, I finally finished something after roughly 2 years (again). Anyways, I've been into Oomph! for quite awhile and this is song is what made me listen to them mostly, carrying on, about the video.
I started this video about 2 weeks ago almost while I was watching League of Legends NA regionals during intermission times, and have been working on it for about 2-3 hours a night on and off.
The only concept I really had was to follow the lyrics as much as I could allow myself with the creepy/obscure scenes.
I wanted to break off of my normal, linear editing style with faster scene changes, while blending them with track mattes and other things.
but this is a run of the mill Hellsing video, nothing special, regardless I had fun editing it.
>TL:DR
Hellsing action video, with swords, guns, blood and explosions (and oh yeah lip sync).

I'm too old for this shit. :bear:

I am SO glad you used the german version of the song. The english versions suck ass and as native I absolutely adore watching amvs with german songs. German is a great language ffs (who was the idiot to think there need to be english versions of german songs to begin with?)

Also, this has to be my favourite Hellsing video I've seen in years. Loved the syncing, scene choice and overall feel of the video. Gave me quite a kick in the nuts.

That aside...I want to stick my middle fingers right into your eyeballs until blood flows. THAT SONG IS FUCKING 4:14 NOT 2:12. The person who started the trend to cut songs of lazyness shall die the most horrible death.

I'm glad you enjoyed everything besides the cut Kev, and yes I agree about the German > English version despite it being sung by the same person, the english version just didn't feel like it had the same emotion to it at all, and I would never have edited it anyways.

Thanks everyone.

Solid editing, good quality and just an enjoyable AMV. Overdone concept, but who cares, it's a good video. ;)

How many clips did you speed up? I caught the one at 0.30 because of Alucard's motormouthing, and possibly that last shot of Integra.
I found the whole thing a bit too chaotic really, and couldn't find any structure to the video.

Do Zero Endorphine next. :P
