I reeeeaaaally, like this video.

The general layout, scene selection, and concept are pure sex. I don't like a lot of Paprika videos because they're all "oh, you have to see the movie to understand it" but with this, as soon as you hear the general concept it just clicks. The the ohshi- moment at the end was wicked. Look at all that crap he had to go through, but wait, he's finally awake and out of the dre-O: O: O: STATIC.

I couldn't really get into this one...the song is just SO peppy and bright and happy while the footage is mostly dark and people getting shot and committing suicide. I can see the theme you had going, but the two just didn't work well together in my opinion.

I enjoyed it alot, despite not even seeing the movie.

I wasn't feeling straight cuts so I decided to try something new. The movie isn't all that great. The animation is beautiful but the story is confusing as hell. I've seen it maybe 4 times now and I can't completely understand what the fuck is happening.

The song has some rough cuts in it but maybe thats from the original version. The scene selection seems for the most parts unenthusiastic. However the editing and the song/anime combination work great. Actually i really like this one. So in general good job!

It happens but, the video aside, perhaps you could explain why you think the song is bright and happy. The tempo and sound of it is to a degree but it's not a happy song at all. My interpretation of the song is that it's about fear and anxiety. That feeling you get while you're having a nightmare and you can't get away. Everything feels slow. You can't run, you can't fight back: "Like punching in a dream, breathing life into the nightmare."

Anyway, appreciate the comment none-the-less

I personally think that contrast was what made it work so well. It underlined the contrast between sound of the music and what it actually is about.

I'd actually been wanting to edit with this song ever since I first heard it but never found anything to fit so I'm glad you did justice to the song and made this. Good clear idea and I like the clean editing, the slide blurs also worked pretty nicely, well except for the really fast ones near the end where I would have preferred something different but then that's just my personal preference I guess since nobody else has mentioned it. XD Still pretty nice overall, good job. This made the movie look very interesting...(which I haven't watched but probably should >__>)

Ahh, Naked and Famous funny, just finished my NDK video with one of their songs actually.

I hope you used Young Blood cause that and Punching In A Dream are my favourites from them.

I've got to agree that this combination is interesting with certain happy overtones (mainly the beat) but fearsome subject matter. It's like you can feel that anxiety without having to hear sounds to invoke those feelings; which means the viewer actually has to examine what's going on in order to get the video; as opposed to hearing happy overtones and thinking it's a happy video. A lot of the imagery achieves that same contrast too.

So yeah, good stuff sir
