Video: Hands Up! (Preview)
Category: Upbeat, Comedy, Fun, Dance
Anime: Dragonball, Dragonball Z
Song: Dynamite
Artist: Taio Cruz
Creator: Drabaz

Hi all, I’m Drabaz, and even though I’ve created several AMV’s through the years, I feel like all of them have been crap up until this point. This is my first full length AMV that I’m actually proud of. A big reason for that being that I’ve always wanted to make a decent Dragonball AMV that doesn’t use the overused genre of Rock. I noticed that not a lot of decent Dragonball AMV’s use mainstream pop/hip hop/rap. And that’s the kind of music I listen to. I’m not a big fan of Rock music, but I don’t hate it. A lot of my favorite Rock songs now are songs I’ve heard through AMV’s. So I took it upon myself to try and accomplish this ongoing goal.

Like I said, this is the first full length AMV that I’m proud of creating. That doesn’t mean that it’s without its flaws though. I’m full aware that compared to the amazing people on here, I’m still a newbie. I’ve never tried color correction, nor would I know how to start. But it is something I plan on learning. My transitions are very basic. I’ve barely ever used After Effects. And so on and so forth. It’s because of this that I ask for any and all types of constructive criticism. I want to get better and I see constructive criticism as one of the best ways to do that.

This AMV has won a good amount of awards so far at anime conventions around the USA, so even though I’m a newbie, I’d say it’s still worth a look. :D

So without further adieu, I present to you the best DBZ/Linkin Park AMV EVERZ! ...Just kidding!

Thanks!
Drabaz/Doug

The dance part at the end felt out of place, the action was okay... the comedy bits were amazing, especially the whole beginning part!
I ended up rather enjoying this. It wasn't amazing, but the idea was okay, the scene selection mostly worked and the internal sync was especially very nice.
One thing though... mpg in 2012? I guess Castor Troy will totally love it, though. :awesome:
PS: I would have done without the lip sync, also, but might be just me.

Yea, I know what you mean. I guess I was kind of going for the feeling that all the villians have been defeated, it was the end of DBZ, so it was time to celebrate! :asd: The first time I realized it was out of place was when I showed it to my friend and at that point she said, "What the F!@k?!"

Thanks! When it comes to Dragonball, I know my scene selections.

Haha, yea sorry about that. I still have almost no idea what I'm doing when it comes to rendering and encoding my files. :bear:

Thanks! I loved that people actually put their hands up near the end of the video. I had no idea it would pump people up that much while I was making that scene. I wish I could have been there in person to see it.

That really was an interesting take on Dragonball. Cool and well executed idea with good internal synch. Well done!

What's with all these good DBZ videos enticing me to watch them when I don't like the series? :uhoh:

x2. But omg, at 1:06 with Piccolo and his "get out the way" I actually laughed out loud. Hahahaha. I even replayed it a few times. xD You also had a really great mood going at 2:36 where they all put their hands in the air for the beatsync. Nice one!

Thanks! Actually, it's Cell, not Piccolo. But since you don't like the show it's an easy mistake. They're both green
Side note: I love your Kimi ni Todoke Enchanted AMV :D
