That was a really well composed trailer. Believable and well cast. AWESOME footage, didn't know RE4 looked that good.

And I stand in agreement.

It really comes off like a professional trailer; the sources look completely natural together, you pulled off the sound bridges smoothly, the footage looked good, the lip syncs worked (and I wouldn't want to try that on CGs), and in the end it was successful as a trailer since I would want to go out and see that movie.

Meli is back |:>

A Walk to Remember is still one my favourite trailers out there, and I never thought I would see another trailer from you since you went to inactivity for a while, but I'm glad seeing a surprise such as this and yet another spendid trailer from you

Thank you. :)

AimoAio wrote:It was intense, had great sync, great pacing and a great mood to top it all off. Definitely one of those trailers that have you at the edge of your seat in anticipation.
DriftRoot wrote:Awesome trailer, the second this started playing at AB I knew you'd set the bar really high for the entire category. I had no idea how much work this was to create until you talked about it a bit at the con panel, and now I can read more about it in the comments on the video. Sounds like you ran into a lot of challenges, but were able to work through them - huge A for effort, there!

So far this is my leading candidate for VCA Best Trailer. It's believable, it's really well edited, builds a convincing story, it's highly entertaining/compelling and looks fantastic. Someone who didn't know any better would easily be fooled into thinking this was the real thing.

5/5
Wow! Thanks a lot. :)
Castor Troy wrote:That was pretty good. Especially since you used RE4
RE4 is a classic. :D
Warlike Cygnet wrote:Having never played the game or seen the movie, I'd believe it was a real trailer ^_~
But seriously, it's very well edited, has great mood, sync and sound bridges.
Congrats on the win ^^
I'm glad so many people think it looks realistic or like a real trailer. Looks like my effort paid off. ^_^ Thanks.
Shin-AMV wrote:I'm really glad this got editor's choice. Being in a category with some really hilarious stuff (driftroot's LFS and Borihiei's ponyo/jaws combo in particular) I was worried that the audience might overlook this extremely well edited video.

It was superbly done. Very well synced and amazing scene selection. Everything was spot on and there wasn't a moment that felt off. Had I not known about the movie or the game, you could have probably fooled me into thinking that it was a trailer for some video game for sure.
I appreciate and am thankful that my video was recognized especially against those said videos because they were amazing. I was honored and shocked so see my name after Editor's choice. Thanks so much!

Thank you! Unlike what it seems normally RE4 looks awful (the cutscenes anyway) on the PC version, probably worse than the Gamecube. It almost prevented me from being able to do this. When they transferred the game over to the PC, they basically did NOT care what the cutscenes looked like. It seems like they captured the scenes at a low bitrate, reconverted and put them in with minimal effort. This is a screenshot of one of the scenes directly from the movie folder of the game, untouched.

Bad, isn't it? Yes, a huge thanks for the modding community for helping making the game more enjoyable (and AMV tasks easier) by releasing patches for the game and hi-res textures and everything else. :)

Thank you very much! With any luck it may get a few people to watch Shutter Island or play RE4. I truly loved that movie and the game will always be one of my favorites.

Thanks Bashar. ^^

Hi Niwa! :D Thanks a lot for the welcome back and for the comments. I'm happy you enjoyed it. I don't think I'll be taking such a long break again for a long while. I didn't think I'd be making another trailer directly after my other but inspiration hit.

That was really great! Really nice job finding all the proper scenes. I also appreciate it that you didn't overlook the details. Even the most minor sounds in the audio were considered such as the wind blowing the candles.

looks like I forgot to comment this one.
I agree with people that said that it was pretty intense and that if I didn't know what the video was I could easily be fooled into thinking that this is an original trailer for the game.
Congrats ;)
