Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Synthesize {Kireblue}

This is my 2nd round video of Amazon Postulate's Beta Battle Tournament. The theme this round was games, so we were all given song packs from various games in order to make a AMV with them. Me and my opponent TheFallenHime were given songs from "The World Ends With You" game.

Anyway, I decided to use the anime "Kurokami" because the show is kinda like a grown up version of "Zatch Bell" combined with "The World Ends With You". Since I've actually wanted to make a TWEY/ Kurokami AMV for a long time, I felt that this was the perfect opportunity. Oh and if you haven't seen Kurokami, you definitely should. Every single episode has some of the best action scenes that I have ever seen in a anime, and they never get boring, drawn out or repetitive. I have no idea why there are so few AMVs that use this show and why its popularity never really took off.

There were so many awesome characters and fight scenes that I had to leave out of this video, but I still like the way it turned out. It is a much faster paced video than any AMV that I ever made, so it was definitely nice to experiment with it. I might make another Kurokami AMV in the future in order to showcase my favorite character Excel. I was so sad that I had to leaver her out.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy.

Note: I decided to use the 1080p version for the local download. If you want to download the 480p version, use the direct download option.

The beginning could be a faster in my opinion. It's me or in the finals moments of the vid there was something weird with the audio, like there was another track playing, I dunno, perhaps it's just me.
But it was ok to focus the plot of the vid in certain fights and not all the fights. Actually it's true that for Kurokami you got several fights and not with just Excel. EVen for someone that hasn't watched the anime, this one is understandable. Recommended for the fansd :up:

Thanks. I think that the part where you probably lost interest is when I tried to introduce a backstory. I hardly ever make action AMVs, so I still have a lot to learn about editing them while maintaining a coherent story.
