Thanks! I don't usually get many reviews on this site, so I appreciate it.

Glad you enjoyed the video! 8-)

You know, this is just a personal quip and has no bearing on my actual opinion of the video, but you might invest some time into making some cleaner/more professional opening credits. XD

_________

Quality wise, I just wanted to note that this was GORGEOUS. I've seen about 2-3 redline AMVs, and they didn't have HALF the quality that this one had. Very gorgeous to look at, so major props there.

Editing wise, I think you edited this song in a very unique manner. It wasn't how I imagined it working out. It seemed a tad random at times scene-selection wise, but it's a fun/action video, so I can understand that aspect of it. I think some of the scenes ran a tad long, and then ending was really slow. I did love the opening though, it really set the scene for the amv and gave us a nice preview into the insanity that was about to ensue. The middle part was the most interesting part of it, because we really get into that "OMGWTF am I watching" vibe, which was great for this kind of video.

So major props. I dug it. First Redline video I'll be keeping.

Yeah, I know I could give them some more motion and zing with a little more effort, but on the other hand, my circa-2000 style title and credits are a badge of honor in my mind and I'm just stubborn in general, so I probably won't be changing them any time soon. You're absolutely right though.

I turned a 10 gig blu-ray rip into a 60 gig lossless avi for editing. I think my computer officially hates me now!

I tried to sprinkle some of the more funny/eccentric scenes from Redline around the video to keep it interesting and make sure it wasn't just one long racing sequence. At 4 minutes it needed that not to get stale I think. As for some of the longer scenes, I'm a big proponent of creating contrast in videos, so sometimes I'll let a scene linger for 4 beats/1 measure right before changing back to 2 scenes per measure or 4 scenes per measure, just to keep things interesting. The ending scenes were longer because the song becomes slower/less excited for the last 30 seconds, so that was just mood matching. That was my reasoning behind the things you noticed anyway.

Thanks! :D

That means a lot, especially since you listed action videos as your least favorite genre on your profile page. I'm glad some org members still dig my old school editing. :pizza:

You're a man after my own heart playing a Garbage song as your intro.

I enjoyed the video. The pacing and tempo were good, but I felt like it could've used some more beat sync or something to that effect.

That was some really nice quality, 'gotta say. <3 The editing itself was fitting, though I felt like it needed maybe faster cuts at some points? It just seemed a little slow at times to me, despite all of the galactic racing action that was going on. xD
But overall pretty good!
