My Nannan had cancer 3 times. Once was Cervical cancer, which is hereditary in our family. My Mom and Aunt both got tested for it, and luckily my Aunt came clean. However my Mom was close to having it. She had to go in and get a "suspicious" substance removed that they assumed was pre-forming or something, and had to have a hysterectomy for future prevention.
Then my Nannan had Breast Cancer 2 times =3. Everything is "cleared" up now as far as I know, but it did a really big toll on her and has caused a lot of different problems for her now in her life.
My Uncle just last year went in to have some cancerous substances removed. I do not know what he had though, but he is a smoker.. so I think it was something that came from that. I do not know how serious or none serious it was. My mom tends to only tell me things when people are already passed away..
There have been others I have known, but I was never close to them to know a lot of what they had D:
On a different but same note, my sister has been theorized to have :
Hereditary Angioedema. At first we thought she might have just been diabetic, but after a lot of tests it turned out that there was nothing wrong that anyone could find. Last year she ending up having what we believe was her 3rd attack. As the first two were miss-diagnosed as tonsillitis. This one was as well until it got really dangerous and scary for her. Her whole body just swells randomly, and different random parts of her body. It feels like her tonsils are swelling, which is why it gets miss-diagnosed but really its her throat swelling up and closing.
It took a lot of family research and constant more tests and seeing her doctor to formulate that she has this. The only thing though is she can only be fully tested for it during an attack. She is signed up to go see a specialist as soon as she has another one. These attacks can happen at any time, she could have one tomorrow or never have one till shes 80. Our Nannan's Uncle had this, but back then no one knew what this problem was. He had to retire at the age of 30 and was bed ridden at that point from this, and dead shortly after. There are "treatments", but rare and expensive. Hopefully, it doesn't get so bad for her that it becomes to the point of having to be bed ridden. Its not Cancer, but its just as scary and life threatening D: and I don't want her to have to go through any more of it. She is only 19, and already been sick enough T_T.
