FEEL THE HEARTBEAT! [We Found Love]

I've been around the org for nearly 2 years and every day i'm learning something new. I admit that i made poor, crappy, mediocre, and downright pathetic AMVs before. But that's because i didn't even know what a real AMV WAS until i came to this site. All of the help i got from you all was simply mind-boggling. You all have been so awesome to me. Answering my questions (whether educated or stupid) giving me feedback/critiques, tech help, and a whole buttload of other things.

So after three weeks from the time I started this project, I am happy to announce my greatest creation yet! THIS ONE IS FOR YOU GUYS! TIS THE SESON AND ALL THAT CRAP! SIT BACK, RELAX, AND I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!

I really enjoyed this! At points I was a little iffy on effects choice and some timed bits, but this was totally awesome. :3

Not bad. I love this song and may use it myself.

I think the anime choice was probably not the right one. I think this song needs a romance anime.
The intro was a little long. (Should have ended before the lyrics started.)

I do think your editing to the rhythm of the music was good though.

Interesting opening credits. I like how that was integrated into the amv itself. Although the font at the bottom of "Angel Beats" was obvious not the same font and kind of had that "I do not belong here" feel to it.

A good feel to it. You had a good mood/feel in it, and the music/anime seemed to have a nice groove with each other. I'm happy to see that Angel Beats is taking the place of Haurhi Suzumiya in terms of band music videos.

The biggest thing that I think was off was the lyric sync. Granted, lyric sync doesn't HAVE to be the central focus, but when you've got "love" in such an impactful manner, and when it's repeated almost every other line it almost has to be a romance AMV, or have some sort of focus on that. Or even some sort of take on love.

Conceptually speaking, you went for a more dancy/techno amv, which I think you accomplished to some degree, but I think more scenes and more "speed" in some areas might have brought that out a little more. Some scenes were so long, and others were very out of place (why were they fighting the shadows again? Didn't have much to do lyrically, and didn't go with the lighthearted feel that the rest of the AMV had portayed at this point).

Effects wise, I loved the re-colors at the end, but the papayrus texture in the middle was oddly out of place for me.

As much as I critiqued, I did enjoy this AMV, and it's going into my work playlist, because it's something I personally enjoyed. If others agree with me is an entirely different thing to consider.

x2. And also you had this nice buildup with all the fast scenes till up to 1:17 then WHAM along comes this really still and bland looking scene which made me go "WTF". I understand it's a lead in for the epic stuff that follows right after but it really doesn't look that great. Even some colouring or some blurry border effect might have helped lessened the blandness.

But the video does have this nice groove to it. Good job nonetheless.

I tried to add a glow effect to it, but it only amplified existing light to some extent, but nowhere near a nice flash. That is one thing that bothered me too. Thanks for your advice!

You know, I feel the exact same way and I haven't even been here as long as you guys have xD

<3 for the org :ying:

As far as the AMV goes, I wasn't a huge fan myself but the intro was freakin' sweet! xD

The orange colors at the end with the band felt a bit too bright for my tastes. Not to mention, the white out in the middle goes on for too long. Other than that, I ain't got no complaints
