The Most Important Case [First AMV]
My first AMV, created in three days in Windows Movie Maker 2.6. Casts Lelouch as Sherlock Holmes and Suzaku as Watson in the trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. I tried to go beyond both source materials and create an entirely different plot. I would really appreciate any tips or advice y'all have.
Spoilers for R1 and minor spoilers for R2. (I don't have any of the major death scenes.)

Re: The Most Important Case [First AMV]
I think, for the most part, you did a pretty nice job (especially for a first amv).
The Good:
Lip sync was ok, but I think it could have used some tightening in places.
Scene selection was pretty on the ball, and you cast/fit the characters pretty nicely. I could complain about a few scenes that really didn't match well with the lip sync, but they were few.
The Bad:
TBS watermark. Distracting to the viewer.
Orphan frames! This is where we'd see small snippets of another scene for less than a second that was accidentally left in. Such as at :28/:29 or at :31/:32.
There are a LOT of sound effects in this trailer, and while you hit some of them, others went by completely missed.

Overall, nice work. Honestly, I'd give this about a 3.5/5. It had some issues, but for a first video it was pretty well done and slightly above average.

Re: The Most Important Case [First AMV]
Thanks for the input.
Lip sync is definitely easier in Vegas (I'm in the trial period right now).
I see that same watermark in enough you/tube amvs I stopped noticing. I guess I should save up for the DVDs if I want to do anything serious.
The orphan frames... well, that's what happens when I edit an Xvid encoded .avi in Windows Movie Maker. I'm never going to do that again.
I'll try to work harder on matching effects next time I do a trailer amv.
