Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

IN order to announce you-tube videos, you'll need to make a catalog entry at the very least for the thread to remain unlocked.

Go to your Member's Main Page, click the plus sign next to "Editors" and click "enter new video". Then, if you wish to upload it, you can click "Upload Video" in the same area.

Ah, cool - I thought it was locked so that only the original poster and mod could post. Anyway, off to upload! Hopefully you guys enjoy it.

Anyway, I'm new here, but this is the place to get constructive criticism, right? There probably aren't many pokemon fans out there but any comments would be appreciated.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.

The idea behind this AMV isn't bad, but the execution could use some work. My biggest complaint would be the use of so many effects that aren't visually appealing (in my opinion). For example: The TV simulator effect that you used in the beginning is so unnecessary. And you continued to use a bunch of completely random effects throughout the entire video. I personally feel that this AMV would have been a lot better with a minimum amount of effects and a lot more sync editing.

Oh and btw, this place actually has a lot of Pokemon fans. I actually started typing this during the commercial breaks of Pokemon on Cartoon Network.

Thanks! I usually don't use as many effects in my videos but this AMV was my first real use of Vegas, so I wanted to try out different effects and combinations in order to explore and understand the program. I agree that there may be too many effects here and there, but at the same time because of that I know that if I need to do more technical stuff with the program, I can. But I'll definitely consider scaling back on the effects on my next piece.
