With Lagarith's recent speed overhauling, it and Ut are pretty much neck-and-neck on my computer. Then again, Pentium III-based Celerons can't use SSE2.

Hmm... IDK, I got it working in Vegas the other day. Be sure you have Ut set up properly for your version of windows. "First install utvideo-8.2.0-x86.msi. Then, if you are using a 64-bit version of windows, then you should also install utvideo-8.2.0-x64.msi." I also suggest saving in YUV420 (ULY0) - [basically if it ends in "0" that's the one you want.]

At my current job we just output almost everything to SGI16 image sequences :|
