First off, this video is not bad, and has some good cutting and timing in it. But it's hampered by the tiredness of the footage and style. It's a good video in terms of technique, but the source and style is what bores me by the end. But it's still a good effort.

This comment, while cliche, stands true. But more or less I wouldn't say you "want to be Nostromo", but I'd categorize this video in the huge wave of trendy trance videos. This vid uses the formula of trance and pretty openings that has grown very tired to me but has kept re-appearing for the past 4 years. There is nothing wrong with making a trance video, but to see the same sources and scenes in so many similar videos has just grown stale. There are obviously far more shows to use for these types of videos by now, and it's not like the requirements for the footage in these videos call for title such as ef or Air specifically. I wouldn't criticize videos like this one on a technical front, but I'd really like to see the editors of these videos keep pushing the genre forward with fresh footage and new ideas. Not saying you or anyone else "has" to change anything about the videos you want to make, but it would a welcomed surprise to see some innovation injected into a trance video from time to time.

Just some food for thought.

I loved it! It has a nice feeling, nice atmosphere! Altough it's 5 minutes long, it doesn't get boring. You also put the scenes very well together, and I like this blue colour too.

But some beats were a bit strange, but it's maybe only for me ^^;

In overall, this was very very good! Love it!

(btw I also love Dream On Studios' motto *-*)

I think part of the problem is the song doesn't change up the pace enough, I wanted to get to a fast part but it never reached the speed I wanted.
This, basically O:
I liked it, but song isn't much the style I like (though I do like some songs on that style...)

But yeah, like everyone said, it's certain you'd get the nostromo comments >; 'cause i guess people are tired of always seeing the same style with the exact same footage and old but good-looking openings, while there are many others that could be used. Or let's say, why not make an amv like that but with actual episodes footage?
Nyarr ~!

the pace for the first 3 minutes felt weird to me. The tempo of the song constantly tried to pump you up and get you excited, but the tempo of your scenes and cuts felt like they were competing to calm you down. But after the 3 minute mark, the pace of the audio and video started to match a lot better.
