Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.
Ok, a few warning before I start. 1. My timing is off; 2. I thought the red yarn would be good symbolism (I was wrong); and 3. This is my first AMV. If you still believe you can handle the monstrosity of that which is my AMV, then I have warned you.
Ok, I'll take any criticism thrown at me, so don't hold back. I'm a tough kid, I can take it
*Thank you Kariudo for taking your time to help me out, even though I'm a complete mess at this *

When you go to your profile (pretty much the first thing in the menu on the member's main page) you'll see your videos towards the bottom. Click the title of your video to go to its information page and bam, video url. Convoluted, perhaps...but you work with what ya have.
There's also the vidid tags (a custom bbcode tag for our forums) that makes linking to your video easier.
to do that, you take the the video id (the last part of the url of your video information page) and stick it in between the tags like so
+edit:
Overall, I'd say this is better than the average first video. Yeah, the timing isn't perfect but that's something you'll develop over time. The important part (for me) was that you made cuts and transitions on some musical element (most of the time). It was good enough that I didn't sit through the video looking for spots where the cuts were off.
The lip sync, eh, I could take it or leave it, but I can tell you put at least some effort into it.
I think I saw some footage reuse, which I think should generally be avoided, and the parts of the op and ed that you used weren't clean >_< though since it doesn't look like there's dvds of the series released stateside I can't offer much help there what with the site rules and all
Scene selection looked to be about average. Lots of kissing clips, with some other clips. I actually thought that the red yarn clip was rather appropriate. There was also some story and some flow that I could pick up on (again, more than the typical first amv).
Advice for future videos:
-Keep working on timing, try to be consistent with what you sync to in a particular musical phrase
-Try to match the amount of action/speed/other motion to the pace of the song. For example, up to 1:34 or so the music is soft(er) and has less instruments playing...so stuff like clips with slow panning would tend to work well. After that, the rest of the band comes in, and the song gets louder/more intense. Then at around 2:06 it starts to build even more, so faster motion (or more/faster cuts) would tend to work well.
2:38 goes back to being softer...
so on and so forth
