Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.
Ohai there, this was my entry for Level up 2011. (Direct link, will put a download on site and then preview later)
The reason that i'm so late presenting it, it's that right after I was done, my computer crashed, which lead me to some problems (like I wanted to fix it more, put logos, better intro, etc) and I lost the vegas file. Tried to get the last version and convert it again, but got some srs quality loss... so I gave up and I'll just enter this version.
Detailed info:
Spoiler :
Niwa (Pro): Me and Laerium have gone through different kind of challenges in this project, but from it we gained some new knowledge and techniques which helped us finish this project. Since the beginning, I knew Laerium had the potential of evolving her own style into something much more, and that was my goal. In the end, I was amazed of the result and her progress, the video itself was simple but it had so much relation and feeling together with the music, which is a important piece for a music video in my opinion. I was glad being her tutor and her good friend during this process.
Laerium (Novice): It's my first time entering a contest like this, and so, I loved to work with Niwa. He's a really good beta tester, and helped me a lot. I like criticism, and I usually asked advice to some friends, but people don't do good beta testing. I was glad to find an awesome sensei and friend =D
But now about the AMV itself: as Niwa said, we went with a simple, yet different romance AMV. It's not a lovey-dovey or drama thing like usually; so don't expect that type of video. We wanted to go for something fun and enjoyable, since usually people tend to do more depressing, dramatic or dark video styles. In the end, I think I improved my techniques overall ^^
By the way! A contest for the viewers: if you count the ammount of fish on this AMV, you'll earn a cookie :'D
Ps1: I was gonna call it High School Of the Fish;
Ps2: This should totally win an award for the most fish in one AMV;
Ps3: Don't you just love her faces? D;"
Hope you guys like it ^__^ let me know your advices :3

Oops, sorry, accidently miscliked and ended up posting it in the wrong section..
Please moderator, move it to the right section, ty and sorry for the trouble. >.<
Definitely my favourite Arakawa AMV ever! It's adorable, cute, funny, well edited, has great sync & pacing and is just generally enjoyable to watch! Fantastic job Turtle and keep making moar epic videos!
I highly recommend this AMV to anyone who hasn't seen it. Awesome!
I thought it was very enjoyable to watch. The fish thing was weird, but I'm guessing that it's just the anime "thing". I also thought the film thing at 2:20ish was kind of a break in what had been really good pacing.
But more importantly, it was really cute for a romance amv, and it was very unique. The editing was fantastic, and the flow was really strong. I seriously see myself watching this for quite a while and driving my family nuts with this same song playing OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
I write this here to inform you that you (and Niwa) are geniuses. Also I got this song just because of you. Also I decided to finish Arakawa faster. Also goddamned great.
