Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Katana no Tabi

Post by Minimoto » Sat Apr 30, 2011 11:46 pm

I finally finished all my AX entries so I needed some recreational editing. This is something I did really quick, few hours, because after finishing all my AX videos I wanted to make a quick video not for any contest.

Pretty nice. I haven't seen the anime so uh..the ending was a bit of a shocker but should have expected it since it was marked spoilers. Now I gotta check out this anime...

This is one huge-ass video file. O_o Might I suggest working on compression some? It iddn't affect my review, but it's just a note.

It's generally a sign that I like/love an AMV when it makes me want to watch the source. Kazemon's "To the Future Video" did this for me, as did many others. Similiarly, this one also made me want to see this source.

You presented it in an interesting way, and had a really good song to fit with the video. Generally, the lip flap was noticable and kind of hurt it at times, but it wasn't a killer that just ruined anything about it.

The story kind of meandered around for my tastes, but the mood was captured extremely well, and did a great job of hitting a nerve with my emotional side. Definitely something I can recommend.

Thanks. Please do, I think you would really enjoy it; great anime and now I just spoiled the climax for you... crap.

Now that I compare it to all those other AMVs I've downloaded... it is a huge-ass file. I'll make sure to read up on compressing my files from now on. Also, I seem to disregard lip flap quite easily, again something to work on. Thanks for the review.
