Ive already left a quick comment but i figure ill elaborate a bit more here:] I really liked this dude. Great work. It really took me back to Jihaku and i loved what you were going for |:>
Though i still feel it had more potential, and I didn't quite agree with some of your scene choices(although some were great!) i felt that was a biggy that held back a whole lot more emotion that this amv had to offer had you chose your scenes a bit better rather than, for example, so many close shots of people/scenery (made me feel a little closed up rather than open and free and inspirational), excluding your section in the middle of anime and real people which i liked :) Also at a couple points i felt you could have slowed down your pace to let me comprehend and enjoy the beauty in your scenes a bit more(again to suck more emotion out of it :] ) plus, i saw you using Place Promised's scene to bring out your color coming a mile away :ying:
in the end, great work man  i dig this.

Mally wrote:Tbh this video got me in a sense that i watched it and i could just tell you are putting yah all in this and it looked like a big anime get together .
For that sense it was great .
Soo many cuts per second and lotsa happy clips and sync and stuff great .
It was consistent to the littlest of degree.
People go on about the quality it is not that bad at all apart from the music video footage .
Nothing really negative to say about this one apart from that there wasnt a Big development in the video it was predictable sorta you know .
Ah but keep going bro feel proud : )
Thanks for the feedback Mally, really appreciate it :)

Thanks! And I see what you mean about emotion and you're right I could have done that but I wanted to avoid using clips that would either overdo it or that have been over-used. What I mean by overdoing it is that I was trying to portray "the simple things in life", which explains all the scenery and smiling faces/close-ups. If I were to use clips with more emotion (like the kind Jihaku is full of) I would run the risk of downplaying the simplicity of every day life. In fact I actually changed alot of the second half of the AMV by replacing certain clips that were either too strong or too emotional.
And LOL yea...I went with the cliche but you gotta admit it adds a nice touch :awesome:

Anywho, thanks for the helpful feedback

Aww that had a really nice mood to it that left me feeling happy. :D Editing for the most part was really good and I especially liked the grayscale to colour burst idea. <3

Also am I the only one who actually liked the font used in the video? :uhoh:

I liked it. I just loved it! It really makes people smile... I really like the way you made it with real-life scenes, mainly in the beginning - coz when it was everything black and white, the scenes fitted perfectly! I think the colored scenes should come later in the video, It would be really good. But anyway, it was still awesome... I love this videos with good feelings inside it. I really liked it! 5/5

So as long one person out there sees this and lets off a smile or two (real or implied) then it will have all been worth it.
I didn't let off a smile or two but a lot more. And I'm sure I'll smile more each time I watch this amv...
So consider your goal accomplished!!

Great work dude,a simple amv with simple moments made for simple people.
One of the few feel-good amvs over the latter years and definitely one of my favs...
