- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Mashupgatari
An AMV I finished fairly recently and am using as one of my current contest submissions. I had fun making this one and wanted to try to be light on effects.
My lower quality version I uploaded here didn't come out as smooth or clear as I wanted so a higher quality version for those interested can be found over here:

Re: Mashupgatari
I saw this when checking out the submissions for G-Anime's contest, and it was one of my favorites.
This video is a lot of fun, it has consistently high energy, and I think using one source helped the cohesiveness. I don't think you needed any more effects, some of the edits acted as effects really effectively. (Sorry for the redundant looking phrasing.)

Nice.
Wasn't a huge fan of some of the lipsync though.

What I wrote about this video when I was asked to judge it for KotoriCon:
I was about to rec it for the VCAs, but then I realized that it wasn't eligible due to not being released until 2011. So I'll have to remember it when next year's contest rolls around.Scintilla wrote:I couldn't understand most of the lyrics, so I have no idea how well the video went with them. But with this kind of dancey video, I think it hardly matters. You should really try sending this to some other conventions; I have a feeling it would make finals almost anywhere. I guess the only thing I'd like to see more of is internal sync. Other than that, you've got quite the fun and impressive video here; keep it up!

Re: Mashupgatari
Nice video. Definitely nice to see something new with Bake instead of the two main people. Needs a little more careful sync here and there, and the lip sync could have used some work, but still very nicely done.

Very fun video
Nice use of effects, lipsynch, and synch overall. Best part was probably the scene selection, the video had several great moments where everything fit perfect. The visual quality coulda been better, yeah, but great job. Catchy song, by the way.
