They have Christian Bale as a supporting role nominee but not Marky Mark as the leading role.
Ah well, for best Actor in a Supporting Role goes to Christian Bale, I'm sure of it. He was great in that movie.

I actually have a dollar bet with a friend over what gets Best Animated Feature. He says Dragon, which I'd like to see happen, but realistically I say Toy Story 3 will win it.

And no reference at all about perfect blue in his new movie. At least Darren Aronofsky could have quoted Satoshi Kon in the credits.
But apparently, he acknowledged there being similarities between the 2 movies.

We know he's a big fan of Satoshi Kon.
He did already an implied reference in Requiem for a dream : he actually paid for the rights to Perfect Blue in order to use the live-action version of the bathtub scene for Requiem for a Dream.

I haven't seen Black Swan yet, but I do like Aronofsky. I might check it out next week.

2 questions:

1) Why is Tron not nominated for Best Special FX, but Hereafter is?

2) Where's the animated love for Despicable Me?

If you actually have seen Black Swan, and claiming it's a copy of Perfect Blue. Then you sir, are an idiot.

The Social Network deserves, best lead actor, best editing, best adapted screenplay and best sound design. A lot of you are doing yourself an injustice by not seeing it. I've yet to even sign up on Facebook and the movie is brilliant. Stop being shut ins avoiding anything that seems remotely social.

I actually liked the Social Network for what it was. The story is actually very intriguing if you look at it the right way. It's a good movie and I love David Fincher who's one of my favorite directors. Although, I would prefer if the award for best actor went to Colin Firth in The King's Speech.

I guess the reason why I prefer Inception over The Social Network though, is that Inception is something that required more talent and effort to make. The production value of Inception is pretty big and a lot of the filming techniques they used is actually very creative. Don't get me wrong though, The Social Network has a lot of good things in it.
