Like I said in chat I'll try to enter, and hopefully I can come to Kawaii-kon too(begs Across chairs to send me)
If I enter it might be something a little older if I have nothing new by then, though March 4th is a long time, even for a slow editor like me :D

I suppose if I don't keep proscratinating and get off my lazy ass and edit then I should make the deadline.....:uhoh:

I'll try my best! :awesome:

Although I rather wish I could come to this instead ;__; Hawaii sounds awesome........

-Fa- - no worries, there is no 'freshness' clause at KK-VAST yet, so enter what you will. And don't even talk to me about slow editors... ask Jadd about how long it takes me to edit something...

AimoAio - yeah, procrastination, we hatez it >.< but if you can make it out here, that would totally rule!

awesome guys, thanks for your interest in KK-VAST!

I keep reading and re-reading the rules for that 'ha-HA! SUCKER!' line to jump out, because I swear I must have missed it in the last dozen times I read through. Just because I'm a bit slow on the uptake I need to confirm this... the footage can be anything? I'm an editor so I'm not about to go creating my own footage, but I can submit a video based on American live action TV/movie footage and not just anime?

I'm only checking because it seems too good to be true. So if someone could spell it out explicitly and in very small plain words that would be great.

Monitor Zombie - hey there, I don't think there are any ha-HA! SUCKER rules in my ruleset, at least I don't think so... but to answer your question: YES, any video source footage may be use, anime or otherwise. This is why we decided to call it VAST (Video Art Showcase Theater) as all types of video art is accepted at this contest.

Hope that clears up the issue

and to everyone else - ding - 2.5 months left until the deadline

Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) is the same way; its VAT contests get a fair number of non-animé videos every year.

(Hint, hint.)
