This is a counterpart to my earlier video, "A Pithy Display of Wit and Candour", moving away from the angels fallen from Heaven and towards the demons uplifted from Hell.

One of the appealing aspects of PSG is it that it is willing to mix things up a little. Despite its lowbrow humour, it is nothing so trite as a "pardoy of the week" - episode titles may reference films, but the contents don't reflect them. Furthermore, every so often, in a pause for breath, a quietly effective juxtaposition will be set against its usual antics and encourage a little reflection. We've had a heartwarming love story, a grim social commentary, a rockin' music video and, with the introduction of Scanty & Kneesocks, a sense of overarching plot, too.

Recurring villains, however, also entail recurring defeats for said villains! However many times they may be confounded in their efforts to destroy their angelic rivals, though, the demon sisters and their impish companion Fastener will always doggedly, determinedly brush themselves down and try again - after all, perseverence isn't just a virtue, it's a ruuuuuuuuuruuu.

Not unlike a certain other cartoon trio from another popular anime...!

Once again, you did a fantastic job.

My only complaint is that the lip sync could have been tightened up in a few places. But otherwise, BRILLIANT use of that song.

Yes, Lip-syncing is still something that I'm perfecting... I think every editor can agree that it's a real bind! The main trouble I have is lip-syncing where the mouth is moving across the screen - you can see Scanty's lip twitching if you look carefully at 2:08 - that's me trying to adjust the mouth's position frame-by-frame, but try as I might I couldn't keep its relative position still. It's all good practise, though - I think that the lip-syncing is more refined in "A Pithy Display of Wit and Candour", which was actually made after this one even though I uploaded it first.

That wasn't half bad. It had good flow with the music in a groovy kind of way.

I thought it could have used an audio edit somewhere to make it shorter, because the second half was just more of the same stuff, and it had some untapped potential with the lyrics pikachu, but otherwise it was pretty solid. Keep up the good work

Thanks for your comments, Phantasmagoriat. The latter choruses seem less dynamic, I acknowledge that - that's partially from me simply running out of footage, which forced me to reduce the number of cuts and extend the length of some clips to make them go further. As Scanty & Kneesocks have been completely absent from PSG for the past fortnight, I couldn't really wait for them to reappear again owing to other personal commitments that have kept me busy since posting the AMV up - still, that is making excuses to an extent, and you make a fair point.

If I may say so, though, I don't think that I did too badly with tying the references to Pikachu into the AMV - as the demon sisters spend an episode pursuing Brief, and he's a bystander in the fight between demons and angels in another episode, the parallels between those situations and Team Rocket chasing and fighting over pokémon naturally reccommended him as a suitable alternative.

Not so much the second, though - and more so than I initially realised when I made this. In the earlier episode "Catfight Club" the narrator was quite correct in saying that siblings rarely see eye-to-eye and often get into fights, but as of "D.C. Confidential!" we understand that the demon sisters are very, ahem, close friends indeed...! I really meant it in a strictly sororital sense - while I don't normally go in for "OMG kawaii desu ne uguu~" stuff, I had to admit that the last picture of Ickle Scanty & Kneesocks that I used in the credits was as cute as a shiny button on a teddy bear.
