Sakura-Con 2011 AMV Contest: SUBBMISSIONS CLOSED

Post by Seijin_Dinger » Wed Dec 01, 2010 3:01 am

Hello everyone,

The AMV Contest has started taking submissions as of December 1, 2010 and
close after 11:59 PM March 31, 2011. Please note that there was a
major rules revision this year. Some rules have been better explained,
and there is a more
streamlined screening panel for deciding the finalists.
I am providing a link to the AMV Contest Submission page

Please take some time to read through the updated rules, and
screener’s guidelines. The new Disqualification Flag system can be
found in Section 7 of both documents.

Screener's Guidelines

I look forward to another year of this contest and the videos that you
will all be sending.

Thank you,
Tom Allmendinger – 2011 AMV Contest Coordinator

Wait, this also applies to the non-competing entries? :(

About time :P Too bad the only video I think would do well doesn't contain any Japanese animation D: Maybe I'll have something good between now and March.

I think Bashar was asking, what's the cutoff for winning awards at other conventions? Can it not have won awards at >2 other conventions before we submit it, or before the contest deadline, or...?

ahhh thanks for possible clarification

If the video has no awards at the time of submission. I will not penalize you if you submit a video and it goes on to win multiple awards after I receive it. To do so would be unfair in my oppinion
