Agreed. The first beta you showed me showed from the shooting scene to the end, and because it started like that I had NO idea what was going on. It wasn't until you showed me a later beta that gave more of the leadup that it actually made more sense for me. I think not including those bits earlier would've very much been a case of "wait. what. who the hell is that and why did he just shoot her? what's going on? why is she all glowy? huh?"Nessephanie wrote:As Oro nodded at, I also felt that to include Faldio with only him shooting Alicia would have been totally out of the blue, and I wanted to show earlier that he was a friend and him going from that to fucked up. I didn't think that it would have made sense without showing him earlier in the video as well, and the only way to do that without him coming off as another suiter for her, was to show a bit more of the whole group setting.

I understand that cutting the song takes away a bit for those who love the original, and that was my main problem at first, I love the whole song to death, but I felt with the pace of the song it would have been too long do to what I wanted to do and would have been too drawn out. I stand by the audio edit, I think it works better for the video then the original would have (and after listening to it so many times while editing, I got the original out of my head a bit and I think the edit actually sounds great hehe) and in my experience from other peoples comments, if you didn't know the full original, you don't pick up that it was even edited.Moonlight Soldier wrote:It's not my fave from you Liz and I think that has a lot to do with the song being cut :X

Gotta say, this was my favorite video out of ALL of the videos I watched in the Pro judging.
I though the story was told in an interesting/compelling way, the editing flowed well with the tempo/flow of the music, and the scene selections were well executed. I felt it was a TAD slow here and there, but all in all, it was an enjoyable experience, and made my day to see this anime get some proper justice it deserved.
