Notes:
Older AMV that I thought I would upload, was made for a friend actually: Mally. If you can see this you can now download it xD
Anyways, just a simple video, tried to use some blurring, to sort of create an evironment I like. Would love any thoughts and criticism!
Would like to see if anyone got the feeling and emotions I was going for :3
Thanks in advance.

Will post my thoughts in a moment.

Edit:
I really enjoyed a lot of the elements this video brought to the table. The first of which I'd like to mention is the use of your blurs in this video; they created a lot of interesting and beautiful shots. For example the horizontal directional blur at 2:09 almost seemed to cue the viewer into a separation of those characters. Seeing your use of blur throughout this video led me to question its purpose numerous times, but all the while I did have to admit it created a beautiful clash of colors when it was used. This led me to the idea that perhaps ambiguity can often times be more beautiful than what is clear and in plain sight.

Sight is something I felt you playing with a lot in this video, such as the glimpses you offered into the various characters' lives. And I use the term glimpses, because there is a great deal of just plain...well, blank space in this video. But I didn't mind that to be honest. The black around the edges in a circular design again gave me the impression that I was seeing something, that I was actually seeing these characters and watching them interact. So I guess I just feel like theres a lot of enjoyable things to explore in this video, which is why I liked it so much.

5/5 and thank you for sharing this with us

Thank you for your comment! Was really happy to see such a nice long one to read :3

I am glad you seen the use of my blurs, the blank spaces, and short scenes, I had a hard time actually finding a way I could portray the feeling and atmosphere as I did. Example: :45-:50secs, was used in a way to "really" show Yu as being alone, as I feel he really did when he was younger. And the small segment after that still viewing onto Yu was to continue showing how he was feeling, but yet there was this deep sort of feeling he was embracing.

I really wanted it to be about both Yuko and Yu, actually loving each other, but at the same time there was a deep disconnection between them, that yet they themselves could still understand. I really think they have a really deep love that can go, and was seen beyond death. I wanted them to feel whole together, but at the same time distant, maybe awkward, little bit of lonely.

(I think sort of breaking them apart within my video, made them seem/feel that much closer.)

I do think maybe some blurs a bit too strong(as it sort of created a weird appearance to the background when fading out in some areas) but overall, I very much enjoyed making this a lot.

This was definetly one of my favourite videos I have thus so far made, so I'm really happy you enjoyed it and seen, felt what you did!

Hmm, the blurs were pretty strong and made the video look choppy in some parts. But since you just started experimenting with blur, It's sort of an exception I guess, but it's a bad idea to transition clips with heavy horizontal/vertical blurs. Stretching the clips and fading them was a bad idea, it messes up the ar and just looks plain yuk. The quality could have been better, I don't know if you did some color correcting to it but it looks bad. You have good scene selection, so keep that up. Hope I didn't come out as a prick here.
