Moezychan's thoughts:

While marathoning Reborn for 2 weeks straight, Kazemon and I started talking about how Tsuna and Toushiro-kun had some things in common, like Toushiro-kun being the captain of the 10th squad, and Tsuna was going to become the 10th mafia boss, and how their powers were alike, and yet different at the same time, and it formed an idea to do a collab of the two. We first tried to find a song that contained lyrics about both fire and ice, but there were none...so eventually we both mutually decided on this song. During our collaboration, we beta tested each others parts, so we could have smooth transitions throughout the amv, and try to keep them as in synch as possible. On my end, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Kazemon chose the song. I split the song into 8 equal parts, so our time is split evenly, and Kazemon joined the amv together, and made the credits. We both worked very hard on this, so I hope you all enjoy~

The one part that truly amazes me about this collab, when I split the parts, I kinda forced Kazemon into taking part one, cause I am horrible at slow instrumentals, and we wanted to interchange between the two. And amazingly, the lyrics for each part fit our characters perfectly! If I had to edit this entire song with Bleach, or if Kazemon had to edit it entirely with Reborn, neither of us would have been able to finish it. And each of our series perfectly fit the lyrics that we ended up with.


Kazemon15's thoughts:

I have to say, I had alot of fun with this collab. Moezy did an excellent job on her parts. I'm proud to have worked with her. Tsuna-kun and Toushiro-kun are awesome characters who are opposite, yet at the same time, similar. I hope everyone will enjoy this collab. We worked really hard on it.

I feel both Moezy and I picked it up a notch and improved on our editing while working on this AMV. Hopefully, we can make another collab and improve even more together!

Not a huge fan of Reborn....not a huge fan of Bleach...yet I still like this video.

You both edited this song in very different ways, but that's not a bad thing - it was interesting to see what what you both came up with, and both editor's tracks were equally enjoyable. Very solid action AMV!

The beginning was WAY quiet though, I almost thought there was something wrong with the upload, haha.

Maybe Ill comment more when I dont have a raging headache >>

remaster it with proper AR (mostly reborn), color correction / equalization, and deblocking / noise reduction, and I'll reconsider. Hitsugaya's newer footage having him with an orange face and his movie 2 footage having him with a grey face right next to each other make me uneasy. I know it's because of the footage's temperature, but you're an editor, surely you know how to colorize and set a consistent color temperature.

I take it you haven't seen Reborn in a while, but after episode 101, the entire series is set in widescreen, so I cropped the fullscreen footage to widescreen. Unless I was wrong about that and you want me to stretch the widescreen footage? I'm pretty sure I know how to crop AR to fit widescreen footage by now, thank you.

As for the older Toushiro footage, considering Moezy has only been editing on Vegas for a little over a year, she has yet to learn about all the things you have said. She's not a newbie to editing, but she's a newbie to the effects in editing. Please be a little considerate instead of assuming everyone knows about these things. She tried her best to make the older footage fit with the new, and that was the best she could come up with without any help from another Vegas user. She's considering coming to the org to learn how, so constructive criticism would be nice instead of assuming everyone knows what you know.

It took me a few days to learn every filter in vegas 7 pro, then 8 and 9 when they came out, it took me less than a week to learn every text effect and how to apply every preset for every filter in after effects cs3, and how to import and export in a multitude of formats. It took me less than 3 months to go from movie maker to flawless h264 aac mp4s using DGIndex, DVDDecrypter, and AVISynth which itself took less than 2 weeks for me to learn dozens of filters and their uses, so having over a year with vegas and not knowing any effects is unacceptable.
