I'm pretty much with code on this one cept for the black fades bit and about the ending. They didn't seem overused or anything to me though if you had used white flashes that many times it would have been bothersome. I think you had a good balance going on for transitions. Sync was great, so was flow/pacing. I thought the ending worked out well with the audio.

Actually my only real complaint is some of the lip-flaps. Some of them work cause of mood/lyrics (1:28, 1:43, etc...) but a few are kind of awkward (2:33, a few other random short lip flap spots).

Anyway great mood vid overall, enjoyed it: 4/5

Well I can tell you either didn't use DVD's or had some settings more geared towards speed on the encoder than quality but I don't use zarx so idk how that works (MeGUI ftw). That and if you did use the DVD's they have some gradienting/banding issues but you can learn more about how to deal with that stuff as you go if it really concerns you. |:>

IMHO though the quality was good enough as is, it's nothing to really worry about. Though I would recommend trying out MeGUI or some other gui depending on what zarx lets you tweak (I have no idea never used it).

Yeah, I really should have removed more lipflap. I removed two scenes with lipflap, but those scenes that you mentioned I could have tweaked as well. I'll definitely keep that in mind next time.
I ripped the episodes from dvds awhile ago, and the quality was not the best. I managed to clean it up some, but issues remained. The banding I wish I could have done more about, but I'm so new to encoding to .mp4 and making avisynth scripts and such, that it'll be awhile before anything looks flawless xD

I've been practicing using zarx since I finished this video, and it actually has a lot of things that you can tweak that I still need to learn more about before messing with. I have meGUI, but I've actually never messed with it much. I'm up to anything really, so I'll probably mess around in it as well since you recommend it.
And thanks, I'm glad you liked it :)

Yeah, definitely don't take my opinion when it comes to black fades. It's just something I personally don't like in AMV's as a principle or anything in general. If others dig it, then kudos. |:>

The mood was really well set and the editing complimented it very nicely, but the story really confused me. I assume there is only one chick? (her older self and younger self?) OR HE IS CHEATING! o.o; XD

Yeah, True Tears isn't exactly the best anime in the world to try and tell a story. But in my mind, any other anime wouldn't do with the song.
The two chicks are different. The one with shorter hair is the one he eventually becomes interested in after his unrequited love with the long-haired chick (see the description for the actual story.)
Trust me, I could have made it even more confusing. There's another chick that likes the main guy, but he doesn't like her. And she looks a lot like the short-haired girl, so before I saw the anime, I thought they were the same.

Sorry you were confused on the story. ):
But I'm glad you liked the mood and such. Thanks for watching :P

Havn't seen a True Tears AMV this good in...well...I don't think I've ever seen one like this. The concept was well-defined and it was pretty easy to tell what you were trying to portray. The editing itself was solid, didn't have any problems with it and the black fades didn't bother me at all (guess people's tastes differ when it comes to fades). You set a great mood and followed it through. No complaints about the quality..it was pretty good

Now for the cons: A few of the clips seemed like they were out of place or weren't displayed long enough (for example at 2:00 it looks a bit iffy), though it's not really noticeable I was probably just looking too hard. Some of the clips could have benefited from tweaking the contrast, but that's a minimal issue. Could have used a bit more build-up towards the end but it's nothing worth dwelling over (kind of hard to imagine it any other way though, now that I've looked over it about 5 times lol). Well...nothing else really

Song choice was great, it's been one of my favorite songs for quite a while now so big props to you on using it effectively.
Great job and I look forward to seeing what you release next :)
5/5

Yeah, it definitely seems to differ.
Hm, thanks for the interesting crit. I've never heard anyone tell me anything about the contrast, so I'll definitely think about it next time. And I know what you mean by the clip at 2:00. Now that I look at it, it does seem a little weird :P

Cool, glad someone liked the music. I thought people wouldn't xD
Thanks for watching :)
