Re: Your First Time Was ?
She liked dark & spooky stuff, and was into Goth. I liked Hell Girl and the Pink video "Just Like A Pill". Then she showed me an 'amv' - which I had seen a couple of and knew them as 'mad animes'.
I thought that Hell Girl and that song seemed to fit, so "Hell Girl Likes A Pink Pill" was born. (actually the 1st version was).

downloaded from Kazaa in a friend's house XD
2: "Running up that hill", from Alkampfer! It was my inspiration since the first days =D

Re: Your First Time Was ?
I had already had the dorky-ass penchant of running anime clips I dl'ed from 56k to songs to see if anything matched up in the mid 90s.
Never really exported anything until September 2000. Took .avis from the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. Mixed to Queen - The Show Must Go On. Edited in Windows Movie Maker 1.0 in Windows ME. One linear track. No fades possible, only cuts. Still have the .wmv file. Did stuff like this on occasion for several years.
Didn't actually join the org until 2003.

Re: Your First Time Was ?
1. It's hard to beat the feeling I get after watching a really good AMV, so I figured I'd like to try and reciprocate. Plus it's, like, way fun.
2. A whole two months ago (Well, that's when I seriously began editing).
3. It must have been around 7th-8th grade ('02-'03) when I first stumbled upon my first AMV, I don't recall what it was (probably something to do with Linkin Park and a certain power-charging, ki-blasting, hair-color-changing anime), but I knew this was something special. After watching videos for some time, I finally decided to try my hand at making one, but I never finished any. Then, for whatever reason, I just stopped watching AMVs (and anime in general) during high school. Earlier this year, however, I rediscovered Yu Yu Hakusho and that led me back here, and now I'm just as hooked as I was when I first started watching them.

Re: Your First Time Was ?
1. I started watching amvs somewhere around 1998-1999. I used to search the internet for low quality dbz clips just to watch the stuff that wasn't out in the US yet (most of them were either realplayer or quicktime videos) and I occasionally happened across some dbz amvs. I thought the idea was really cool and wanted to make my own.
2. Eventually around like early 2000 I bought a program called Quickeditor and used really low quality downloaded dbz clips in quicktime format, since that was all the program could use. Made some of the crappiest videos in the history of amvs I think, good thing I never released those ones =P (note: my profile lists some videos before 2000, this was a miscalculation on my part thanks to my crappy memory, I didn't edit before then, lol)

Re: Your First Time Was ?
Almost everything by Mabaroshi Studios and Aluminum Studios
I want to say I was using Limewire, but I know it wasn't that, some P2P though.
and
come to mind specifically.

Re: Your First Time Was ?
1: What got you into making amvs?
It was very simple i was a big a very big fan of Linkin Park and i wanted to do something more with Linkin Park not only listen to them lol.
2: When did you start making amvs?
It was around very late 2008 but it was only 3 Fulls in one day. After that i had a big break until February 09 then i started with Cyberlink Power Director. I really liked this Programm. It was easy to edit and it had some awesume effects. Around Juny - July i started with SV 7. Now I'm editing with SV 8.0.
3: If you dont make amvs, what got you into watching them?
I was never a big fan of Anime and that shit and i hate lovestorys bla bla but the only think that made for me AMVs interesting were the editing of fights or the impact the good synchro just the editing not the AMV editing.

1: What got you into making amvs?
- Sick for a couple days at home, so I figured to watch some old anime episodes on youtube just for ol' times sake. And bam, found something called an amv in the related section, then a couple editors who reached out to me and helped me along the way.
2: When did you start making amvs?
- Made my first video around February of 09.
My first time was a couple months back, private house party after grad night. I was nervous as shit, felt like wanting to get it over with, but half way along I wasn't nervous anymore and just went on with it. Sound's casual, but it was nothing close to that..
