EDIT: I was kind of dissapointed.
I think the main issue with me personally is that it was kind of a convoluted speed fest. I mean, I know the song called for higher paced editing, but everything just kind of FLEW BY me, giving me no time to immerse myself in the story or have any connections with the many [and I mean MANY] characters. Plus, the integration of the real music video didn't have any real merit, except to exploit the cool toys the guy has.
An editor did this with the original song, and I really liked it a lot because while it had the same concept as yours, it gave us time to seep into each of the "worlds" the song artist wants us to delve into.
I mean, I realize the purpose of the AMV was to be zany dancing fun, but even dance AMV's can have a plot and story about it, or let us connect with the characters in the video.
I think the real flaw behind it was that there was just plain too many anime in it. Had it been cut down to about 10 or less, and more focus on a handful of characters, rather than a billion, and the video would have been much more friendly to watch.
I also REALLY didn't like the remix. At all. And I usually love EVERYTHING that has a beat.
