Yeah, don't worry about it being Bleach. Kind of like Sayco said, fck anyone who disses your amv purely because it's Bleach. That's completely biased and retarded.
Anyhow, I didn't download it, but watched it on the tube because I'm really lazy.
I'll just say right now that I enjoyed it. However, there were a few things I didn't like.
I don't know what you would call it, but when the characters basically melted away and it would cross into another scene. Aggh, what's it caaaalled?!?! I don't remember, but sometimes it just didn't work for me, personally. It made it look sloppy sometimes. Example: @ 4 seconds, 13 seconds, etc. Not that big a deal, but it did bug me a bit.
Also, The red jumping was sometimes done when it didn't need to be -- like, at 51 seconds. I understand what you were trying to get at, but because it's not synced to anything, it's probably better if it were toned down. At least for me. Some would disagree.
Next, I didn't like how you blurred out that very last scene. I don't have a particular reason, but I guess it would have been better if you saw the scene well, so you could really take in what happened. Just my opinion.
Now Lastly, just be careful when you have text. Be sure to capitalize your I's. And I didn't particularly like your text choice. It made it look really gaudy. However, it wasn't that big enough of a deal to say that it ruined the entire video, so don't worry about it too much. My advice would be to take a lot of time experimenting with your text. I know it's all about
what the text says, not really what it looks like, but the font plays a big part for the viewer as well. At least for me.
The good parts though -- I did feel the "emotion" you were trying to get at. Particularly @ 53 seconds. The lyrics along with Ulquiorra's situation really made that part have a lot of impact. The editing itself was pretty simple, but I liked it. Ulquiorra is one of my favorite characters, and I'm also looking forward to making a character profile of him. The title was very fitting as well.
It's sad that everyone is too afraid to announce a Bleach/Naruto amv, but I'm glad you did. To be perfectly honest, on the
org, the two aren't used enough. Well, scratch that. There are a lot of entries in the database with those anime, but not enough are announced. Not
hardly. So yeah, thanks for having some balls and doing this.
To sum it up, I liked it. 4/5
And then the quality was pretty weird - you used softsubs, right? I think the encode of those was pretty bad and I would recommend downscaling to 576p or even 480p - but after all it was your choice.
Ulquiorra and something special or even the mystery about his character deserve to have a good video. Well done the relationship between Ichigo, Inoue and Ulqiorra. As I am bleach viewer, I definitely understand the title - Emptiness.
