Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I don't. But then again, I expected an announcement thread full of 'WTF is this shit?', so what do I know. This has already inspired one video at least.

I'm just curious, have you noticed the one obvious easter egg I inserted into the audio yet?

I mean prayed to me. I wore a black shit and black jeans one day. She decided I must either be a preacher or an angel, so that night she prayed to God, Mohammad, Buddha, some street bum she thought looked like Jesus, and me.
That is one of the wildest things I've heard, she must've included Allah as well. I'm a Christian but people like her are part of the reason why atheists don't believe in a higher power.
I haven't really even touched on the weirdness of Michelle. One day there was a visitor for another patient, and the visitor brought one of those big overnight bags with clothes and stuff. While the visitor, the other patients, me, the nurses, and basically everyone else in the area watched, Michelle opened the bag, took out the clothes, and crouched down in it. She thought no one would notice and the visitor would take her out of the hospital when they left.

Another of her escape plans was she would start at one end of a hallway and run flat out towards the exit door. This would be the same door that requires a nurse with a key to get in or out of. You could hear the resulting thud throughout the entire ward. She didn't give up though, she'd get up and try again because Jesus told her that she could phase through the door. That happened often enough that after awhile no one even really paid attention, you'd be sitting there and hear *THUD* and just mutter 'damn Michelle, give up already. The constant thuds are giving me a headache.'

She also thought that if she kissed the glass on the window she'd be able to go through it and escape. Considering the mental ward is on the eighth floor of the hospital, I have no idea what she planned on doing if that worked. Perhaps pray to me to help her fly. Still, there was lipstick on all the windows when she was around.

After about a week I quit talking to her entirely. My wife mentioned that the previous night she was calling other patients into her room, dropping her pants and underwear, and pointing out how the virgin Mary appeared in her vaginal discharge. I figured the last thing I needed was to get caught in a room with her half naked and me trying to explain that I wasn't taking advantage of the crazy chick. Plus I wasn't really keen on the idea of looking at Michelle's vaginal discharge.

I am positive she intentionally played up the weirdness at times just to be funny or whatever, so I never did figure out how much of her behavior was real and how much was, basically, just fucking around. Regardless, she made enough of an impression on me that I still remember her even years later. I know this sounds like I'm making shit up, but my wife can back me up on all of it.

I haven't noticed any easter eggs, and wouldn't even know where to start, but I'll catch it eventually. I keep noticing really subtle, new voices though.

If that's accurate, that's very... wow.
I guess I have to be thankful.

It was an interesting concept and mostly an innovative one. It really makes someone think about it...
I agree that the length was a little long for the same concept (I would believe they have at least a moment of peace, even though I understand the point you're trying to reach).

You did a good thing choosing Lain for this. In fact, it could have pretty much been a Lain's episode. That's what makes it even more creepier.

Yeah, I edited the video first then expanded or contracted scenes as needed when I put in the audio. But I specifically went into it with the attitude of I'm trying to make something that looks like just regular everyday unedited anime. Glad that worked.

Godix can correct me if I'm wrong here but I'm pretty sure this amv wasn't meant to be enjoyed, if you enjoyed it then it didn't achieve its goal or something. If anything it was a simulation or something along those lines. I guess you could enjoy it somewhat for a new experience kind of effect but overall it was to show you how awful having the paranoia symptoms can be in the case of never having the experience. Though I guess if your some kind of psychotic mental masochistic nut case you may enjoy it.

I can honestly say I didn't enjoy it, in fact it bothered me enough to think about it through the rest of the day.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
