This is for 2004's first TRWYP, which used this same song. It's no longer available for download and it won by default as it was the only entry.

In 2005, the song changed to the Pokemon Dance Mix. UnlimitedRice won again, but it was a very close call. There were three entrants, Unlimited, Kitsuner, and NME. NME was disqualified.


NME's was DQ'ed as it did not meet the 2:30 minimum time limit for that particular contest (this year the minimum is only 2 minutes) and my speakers didn't pick out that the song still said "Pokemon" after he remixed it(which was one of the rules). This year I decided to avoid that entirely and disallow remixing of the song.

I thought winning money was a big 'no-no' in the AMV universe? I know gift cards seem to be OK.

It is kind of a no-no for sanctioned events, but the last two times I ran this, I didn't have any problems.

Oh sweet niblets, the deadline's been extended. June 30th should be pretty doable, even with the source I'm using.

June 30th huh? I have an idea, but its gonna be a whole lot of work editing a full length AMV to that song. I'm still on the fence, but I'll let you know if I decide to join in.
