Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Before someone comes saying "you need to enter vids to announce them" - FMA video is in the catalog so he's good. :)

EDIT: Okay, watched the FMA one... there were a lot of first amv errors... cuts were too long and scenes weren't fitting, along with scenes plastered with credits and so on. It's the mistakes most do in the beginning, but don't worry, the more amvs you watch and edit, the more you'll improve. :)
May I suggest you to check out the top 10% in the meantime? There are some cool vids that might get you an idea of what to do and what not to do when editing and so on.

It's still quite sad to see 3 youtube links posted in a thread. For shame 'org, for shame. you used to be cool and have standards.

Org's goal is to index them before having them uploaded here. If he wishes to upload his copy on local, he's welcome to, however he isn't forced. There are still people that try to announce videos without even bothering to enter them, so the fact that he actually cared to follow the guidelines is nice.

Don't assume that I'm not thankful that your defending me...but I don't mind being bashed, it's natural, everywhere you go there will always be trolls, and people trying to nit pick and find a way to piss you off. I'm used to it. If it upsets him that much, I'll take my efforts elsewhere and he won't have to hear of me, or from me again. But thank you for defending me.

PlayHaZarD, not a single person in this thread is a troll. We do have our occasional troll show up, but Bashar is not one of them. Rather, he is a well respected member of the community. Think of the Org like any other political organisation. There are conservatives and liberals, those that are "freshmen legislators" and those that have been around for years and years. I often agree with Bashar, although I am not usually quite as blunt. I am very much an org "conservative" and am probably considered the face of the conservative wing by many people, whether it is true or not.

That being said, while I do believe it is far more polite to upload distribution copies that we may download without having to go to streaming video site, Mirkosp adequately summed up your "legal" position when it comes to the Org's "Constitution." As long as you have entered a video here, you are free to announce it. Bashar is also free to question your distribution decisions as they do impact the quality of the final product and perhaps speak to the effort involved.

I will watch your FMA video when I get home from work and offer you my own perspective.

PlayHaZarD: 'Watched all 3! But first, I just want to help clarify that we only meant to suggest that you upload those AMVs here. If you upload it here, it looks a little nicer and more organized than just a link to another site. [Check out the FAQ if you're interested on uploading them here.]

Anyways, here's my comments:
AMV 1: A bit of an overused song, but fitting for FMA in many aspects. No subs, so that was awesome. I would've preferred to see creditless OPs, but I guess that would be asking a bit much. I mean, not only is it hard to find that stuff online, but I'm not even sure if a creditless version of them is available. xD; Anyways, not bad.

AMV 2: Didn''t catch my interest very much, but that's mainly because I've never played the game. ^^; Pretty nice.

AMV 3: Well, this isn't really, 'anime', per se... actually, at all. Um... so it probably shouldn't be included here. xD; I'll let Devil May Cry slip since I'm pretty sure that was made by the Japanese.
This was just ok. I really hoped it would capture my attention more this time since I've actually played these games, but to no avail. Though its a first video, so for a first it was alright.

Sorry if I sounded ungrateful, or rude...but these are my first four videos, one is on "MegaVideo" and I'm new to this site completely...I've been on a "final Fantasy VII" forum called "Quimm" for a couple of weeks, and it was suggested that I try somewhere else for AMV creations because well...They're a FFVII Group, not a AMV Compilation group, I googled and found this site. I read the Forums rules and tried to my best to follow the guidelines. So in time, hopefully, I'll be able to grasp the full scope the rules...and as far as my first few AMV's are, well I am a heavy gamer, so I like to make game AMV's and I will be making Anime ones aswell, if you do not want me to, I will avoid posting my Game AMV's and lable and post my Anime ones only. That is, if it's alright with the Admins.

Japanese game music videos are acceptable on this site. You are covered with Final Fantasy.
