This is a pretty solid AMV. You did a really good job at making such a silly series look so serious and dramatic 
I think that you overused the "fades to black", and some of the timings seem off, but I'll still give this video a 4/5

You know.. This was well edited, had some good scene selection and told your story pretty well together.
The thing is, FLCL videos like this are a dime a dozen. If I kept every dramatic FLCL video I've seen since I joined here, my laptop harddrive wouldn't have any room left on it.
So while I enjoyed it as a video, and appreicated it as an editor, as a viewer it just didn't leave much to the imagination.
But still, I can't overly complain about it. Oh, and what was with the cropping on the top and bottom?

Otakon rules called for weird sizes so thats why i resized it
if it had been any other way i wud have done 1080p fullscreen lol
and yeah, on the tube i rarely see any good flcl vids
Kinda bugs me (its my fav anime 
) but like... i love seeing great vids by people who really get wut the shows deeper meaning is, wether its on here OR on the tube.
But yeah, i get wut u mean by seeing a lot of dramatic flcl amvs. Takes the fun out when uve seen so many of one thing >_<; i get that way with bleach amvs.

I like it. I give it a 3/5 for feeling a little rough around the edges.
As for other FLCL drama videos existing: who cares? My advice to all editors is this: If you have a good idea for an AMV, MAKE IT. It doesn't MATTER if someone else had the same or similar idea already (unless of coarse you stole it, in which case shame on you idea thief) make YOUR AMV anyway. Do it for yourself, and for the love of AMV editing. And who knows, maybe yours might be something special. Even if it's not you'll still have had fun making it right? *gets down off soap box* that is all
