Interlacing = horizontal lines withing the video. (see here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... ace.html#1 )

Orphan frames = 1 frame in a cut between two scenes. (mostly visible probably at 1:58, between her, looking up and her, shooting)

Thanks very much, Kionon and Nya-chan! I'm not sure if I'll re-upload this video here with all of the mistakes fixed (I have a higher quality version, so I'll probably just add a link to the video profile as an option. Besides, after the first couple of seconds, the quality isn't terrible, just alright) but I'll keep all of this in mind for my next video. =]

very nice video. I look forward to your other videos. I'm surprised there's people way better than me that don't know anything about interlacing. I knew about interlacing almost a decade ago, and could talk about the complexities of it for hours. :?

Guys, stick to discussing the video plz >__>
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Don't like the song, but I enjoyed most of the video (other than the technical problems which have been mentioned before.) Really good though, I enjoyed the editing. :up:

Forgot to individually reply to all of your comments. xD;
Code wrote:This is probably the only E7 video I've found even remotely fun to watch. Yeah, Joy Division from CCR was cool, and there has been others as well that were fun for one or two views, but this is honestly the first one that I've ever just watched and thought... "Wow." The storytelling was awesome [although a little repetitive and too literal in some parts], and the flow/beat was well done and well executed. I never think black flashes are a good thing, but I'll bite my tongue on this one, because the rest of the video was just spot on and fun. I also wish the visual quality was a tad better, but it's far from anywhere to be overly complained about.

5/5 in my personal opinion [the one that really matters], but in my opinion as an editor, it's 4/5.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it, then! Thanks for the feedback.
NS wrote:3:44/3:45 you got 2 instances of orphan frames here.

Liked the video, it flowed well and fit with the music very well. I thought some of the super sped up stuff didn't really fit, but I liked the video in general.

4/5
Thanks very much. I'll keep an eye out for orphan frames for my next video. =]
Nya-chan Production wrote:720x480 (bad AR), lots of interlacing and orphan frames.

On the other hand nice pacing and lots of fun.

3/5, could be 4-5 if the mistakes were fixed.
'Will remember to fix those problems in the near future! Thanks.
Atari wrote:I must say. I think you've really done well with this video
It's a pretty solid video. The speedups and masks felt a little weird at times but overall, I'd say that this video is pretty enjoyable and it's great to see that you've made something like this.

I do have to mark you down for technical things. The video is interlaced and the AR is off. I'd really like to see you fix that up and reupload this. The mods are pretty nice about remasters. So please get that done.
Well thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've unfortunately already deleted the project, but I still have a higher quality copy rendered, so I'll just add it as a link when I get the time.
Kionon wrote:I am afraid this one just didn't do it for me. Technical problems aside, I just wasn't interested. Sorry.
I'm sorry to hear that. =( Ah well, to each their own. Thanks for checking it out, at least! =)
Haeresis wrote:Overall good video, it was enjoyable . Some things could have been done better like the scene selection, masks, and speed ups but it was still good. Some of the technical things in the video(interlacing, wrong AR, orphan frames, blah blah blah) made some of the stuff you did look bad like the masking. I've seen one of your other videos and you're showing some improvement so good job
I appreciate the feedback and constructive critisism, thanks!
Pro_Pain wrote:good video really liked it, There were a lot of mistakes but ^ People already covered it
3/5
Well I wouldn't say a lot, since the two mentioned the most were the orphan frames and the interlacing. Unless you thought the masks were off or the scene selection could have been better. Thanks for watching!

Well I'd heard the term of interlacing, but I just hadn't really needed to deal with it much until I came to the org. ^^;;
Thanks!

Gah, there seems to not be enough Avril fans in the world. /sigh. But again, to each their own. =) Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

And of course, thanks to Kionon and Nya-chan for clarifying the two terms for me. ^^
