opinions may, but facts don't. The fact that this movie is hours of a man talking about a train ride by himself means it's boring, anybody who is rational would say it's boring. I will agree to disagree, but some people like boring stuff. Me saying it's boring is more true than you realize, because some people like things like clannad and miyazaki which are both terrible and boring. What's the point if there's no gratuitous sex and violence. Without gratuitous sex and violence, today's youth will turn into perverts and serial killers. We need them to kill people in fantasy so that real people can sleep at night. I'm afraid fans of gratuitous things like me will have no choice but to do something vile if they have to sit through stuff like this movie. This AMV is more boring than the movie, which is why I request deletion. It's just too provocative, and somebody is going to get hurt because you didn't include enough decapitation. Without decapitation, you can't bore someone with speeches. Also, this song isn't by dir en grey, it's some stupid folk band etc. that doesn't say a single curse word, even in a language listener's aren't supposed to understand. I mean what the hell? People suffer when you make good AMVs that don't have at least 1 decapitation, they wait for the release of positive energy, and all they get is regret and depression. I would write an op, but I'd be biased towards the psychopaths. Psychopaths don't need stuff like this, it's 4 year old girls that live on pony ranches with religious fanatic parents that do. Think about real people's futures. Don't appeal to the minority that like stuff like this. People want more sex, more violence. What you are doing is wrong, it's harmful to the general public. Think about your family. What would world leaders think if you showed this at a un meeting? It would be world war 3. How could someone like you live with that guilt?

5CM video was a 5CM video, but it will still pretty nice. A tad slow for my tastes, but still entertaining, just kind of overdone conteptually wise. 4/5

5CM is a great story. When I first got my HDTV, I invited all my friends over (American, Australian, English, and Japanese) and we all watched it. Only two of us were active anime fans. The Japanese especially just took it for what it was: a movie. And a good one at that. Everyone agreed. So, despite how the trolling continues, 5CM's overuse as a source does not diminish the excellence of the movie (which I own on R2).

As for the video itself, I found it in general to be middle of the pack. it does try to do something new by suggesting the guy is double timing, but I wasn't clear on who he was double timing with? Is the video directed at his childhood sweetheart or his current girlfriend? Given that this is totally way off from the actual plot line, it does show a spark of creativity not normally associated with Shinkai vids. I think the lack of really clear story coherency and just which girl is which is why I failed to be impressed.

No stars. I am neutral on this video. So an x/x video rating would be unfair to the creator.

I boycotted this movie after sitting through it's horrible premise and plot. Probably the worst movie I've ever watched, right up there with Miyazaki and the Clannad franchise. I'm sorry but next time you want me to watch a video, use Honey and Clover, or Minami-Ke, or maybe fruits basket, or at least cowboy bebop.
