Gunslinger Confessions

This AMV was literally a year in the making. Even though it doesn't look like it, the day when I started working on this AMV and the day that I finished it are almost an entire year apart (4/16/09 - 3/21/10). I actually canceled this project on four separate occasions, and started over twice. I finally decided that I had completed too much of the AMV in order to cancel it, so I made it my goal to premiere it at Momocon 2010.

I'm glad that I decided that to finish this AMV because it successfully tells the story of all 6 gunslinger girls (Henrietta, Rico, Triela, Angelica, Claes and Elsa). I tried to give each girl a equal amount of attention, but my AMV definitely focuses more on Henrieta and Elsa the most.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my AMV. This was such a melancholic AMV that I've officially decided to step away from making so many depressing AMVs. I'm not completely sure what will be my next AMV, but I'll try to make it happy :-)

What?........I really don't understand. I checked wikipeda to find out what refrains are, but how can refrains not correspond to the music.....did you mean the anime? And what do you mean by black lines? I'm so confused.

Gaurry means the boxing at top and bottum. I also refer to this in my OP, but I would more like to know the intent of it along with what seems to be an intentional aspect skewing.

I never did like Elsa, her blowing her brains out.. It's almost an AMV must. hehe. I loved the Claes fishing scene's they were well placed.

I guess that it was just a bad decision on my part. When I cropped my DVD footage to 688x480, I didn't like how I couldn't get it to look right widescreen. So after messing around with it a bit, I finally got it to render widescreen-ish, but at the cost of the top and bottom area of the video. I still have a bit to learn, so next time I'll have someone beta test my AMV.

I'm glad that you like the fishing scenes. Since Claes was the only gunslinger girl that no longer had a handler, I intentionally placed a scene of her at every part of the song where "why'd you have to go" is sung.

Thank you for the OP. That was actually the first OP that I have ever received. I really appreciate it. :D

Gunslinger Girl is 4:3, so you should crop it a little (to get rid of the possible tiny black borders and then scale to 640x480. No reason to make 4:3 source widescreen unless it's artistic (very action-like, imitating spaghetti-westerns, etc) or you have more sources in it, some of them widescreen.
