any DDR Max Fans out there?
I just got the game last night with the Dance pad.....first 15 minutes my fat ass was dead tired....then I went to bed and worked with the lesson mode until I passed all 3 stages. Now I just use Workout mode alot and try to burn off all the calories I eat when I get food and such...So Far I burnt off 500Cals....Gimme a hand! maybe I may loose some god damn weight this way...

Hells yeah, DDRMAX rules! I actually play DDRMAX 2 7th mix up at a local bowling alley.
As for the home version.. dance pads are best, but if you wanna practice your steps without wearing yourself out, you can get a mini dance pad made for your fingers.. I guess you'd call it a "finger pad"... They are great for figuring out how to move your feet without getting "tangled" heh... That was my biggest problem when I started playing DDR and Pump up the OBG... getting tangled. finger pad = good... but I guess it doesn't help you stay in shape any better

I just bought the game today and a dance pad. Some of those songs are absolutly insane.
I never saw myself using one either, but it is really fun and give you a hell of a lot of exercise.tamashii wrote:I just can't picture myself using one of those, just the thought makes me laugh like hell . Way to funny, but if it works for you then I'm happy to hear that.

The only way to play DDR is either:
1) In the arcade
2) With custom-made home pads
But even with the custom pads you can't beat the arcade!

^^ I'm in the Something Awful shirt, next to me is Alex, he's really good at doubles.
And then this is me after not sleeping for 36 hours and playing MAX300 (and getting an A, BTW):

Yes I'm asleep NEXT TO THE MACHINE. Do you have any idea how LOUD that thing is?
I've beaten every singles Oni course on DDR 7th Mix except for the first Demon Road, which I can get to Maxx Unlimited on and then I die (for obvious reasons). I've beaten Demon Road 2, even, although it took me a while, stupid Kakumei Dark Reverse. ^_^
Now I'm working on Doubles Oni which is way harder than singles, and vastly more strenuous, not to mention expensive ^_^
DDR forever!
