Thanks! I will continue to work out the kinks in this video. I will also work on making a more sophisticated and broader themed amv in the near future.Phantasmagoriat wrote:I haven't downloaded a naruto.wmv in forever, but this worked out pretty good![]()
The quality doesn't bother me because I just wanted to see a montage/summary of that whole arc-- and this delivered it.
At times the music and editing didn't seem to have the same pace, so that's something you may want to work on... but you seem to put a lot of thought into your scene selection, and it shows

Re: Sasuke V.S. Itachi
I quite liked the Itachi one. (Wow - I had no idea what Shippuuden was up to. :0 ) I thought the "crying lightning" lyric was definitely suited to Sasuke, and your editing helped complete the connection.
I haven't seen the episode, but I liked your editing more at the beginning, where it jumped around. Towards the end it did simply seem to be a rehash of the fight, even though considering the climax of the video, I'm not sure what else you could have done.
The second Naruto one - I think you're matching the mood of the music quite well. I don't know what the others are really talking about in terms of cuts being inaccurate. Wasn't too noticeable to me. The slipping and sliding between experiences at the beginning was good in concept, but it didn't seem to be consistently done, if that makes sense. Some were too solid, too clean a cut compared to the others. Like the opacity or colours were brighter, so the overall effect seemed to not match the clips before and after it. There were some awkward superimpositions - e.g. at 0.24, both Naruto bodies were quite close to each other in terms of the lines (but not close enough for there to actually be a connection) Also, I don't know if the footage was there, but it would have been nice to have seen Naruto's facial expression before he started to remember, and also getting traumatised as he remembered more.
All in all, you've got to trust your editing sense - don't do things you think you SHOULD do. It's fine to increase your repertoire, but at the end of the day, if you try to please everyone, you please no one.
Accept advice if it makes sense to you. There's no such thing as a template for a "good video", so be yourself, and have fun!
