Re: Project Xanthium \\ Reloaded
I still like the original better as I told you a few months back.
The effects on the original had a much bigger impact on the video.
The effects on this "Remaster" video are too subtle in my opinion.
Not to say this "Remaster" was not good.
The 60fps/720p looks fantastic.

Something, maybe nostalgia, makes me like the original better. Not saying this is bad, I just reminisce of old times
Also, what happened to the poster you were working on? I liked it better, even if you needed to clean the type a little.
Good job anyway, at least you've got something done, which is more than I can say.

And here I tried making it as playback friendly as could..Phantasmagoriat wrote:*re-encodes to XviD* for playback
pretty cool[neither hotdog nor sandwich... man that was cheesy...]
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course. I'm just saying that while a bad excuse that's what it boils down to. That's all ;]Bauzi wrote:2005 is no excuse for ignoring obvious mood/tune changes in the music. That's basic stuff.
but yeah have to say that this amount of sync is quite impressive for 2005 even if I don't like it.
If the flashes make you sick then the warning was appropriate ;PSayco wrote:That was rly excitingsometimes those flash makes me sick
but don't bother they were ofc one place
like most of effects that you used
Generally enjoyable, and well done action vid
keep it up
It's funny how multible people say that if no one had seen the final prior to the day of release. Still glad to hear you like it though of course.ZetZu wrote:Think I already told you what a thought of this mitchy.
If not, I'll say it again - Splendid
I really loved the sync, the action, the effects, the motion. Totally dug it man!
I think that might've been the only "beta" I just threw out to the public. Funny to see people snagging that left and right though.Radiant_mt wrote:WOW i remember you mentioning this in the IRC. Like a while ago, it was like the first 10 seconds.
Nice to see the final output
It's mentioned in the catalog comments? We'll see, just don't hold your breath for it.Brad wrote:Wait, what happened to your Animatrix video? Did you change it to GitS2? And then changed the audio? And the name? Huh... interesting.
What I was going for so I'm glad I was able to achieve that.surfsama wrote:I did not see the original but the "wow" factor is extreme for this release. The 60fps really adds a deep-contrast/liquid feel to this video.
Once I have my hosting solution worked out, I'll be sure to make some xvid and/or lower res alternatives available.Falconone wrote:i liked the old one, this one looks better, but i had problems to play it. Only after some tries it played.
The original was "heavier" on the contrast changes then this one. I did add a little extra subtle layer on top of things. But most of it gets lost in the fast paced action scenes I guess. I can assure you that you'd think it'd feel bland without them.Sora no Honou 空の炎 wrote:I never saw the original, but this was pretty good. I thought that it was a bit heavy with the brightness/contrast changes. I would have liked to see some other effects to break it up a bit, but it is still great though.
I'd be wary of that. Plushies are supposed to be inanimate objects. With the exception of Felos of course but he's a special one. Regardless if she keeps moving around you'd be wise as to keep it away from sharp objects. Preferably keep it on a leash or one of those shock collars.AK4real wrote:i watched it and my saber plushie went

As for the poster, I just wasn't feeling it. Once doen with this one I felt the same. But I needed something after all. Maybe because I don't value it a "actual release" I don't feel like working on it too much.
Also damn right ;|

Re: Project Xanthium \\ Reloaded
I personally didn't like it very much but knowing that this job is a remastered version of a previous video of 5 years ago I can say that's is quite good
