A heads-up for editors who are visiting (or planning to visit) Tekkoshocon this year:

It's just 20 days to go, and we still need videos for the contest.

Note that the deadline below is ONLY for FTP Account Reservation and for Mail-ins. If you have an FTP account reserved before the deadline, you will have until March 8th, 2010 to get the file to us. So, if you are starting or working on your video, why not reserve an FTP account with us early and submit your video when it's ready?

We still need a lot of videos, so there are still a lot of opportunities for entrants to become finalists for this years' convention contest.

Also, if you remember from last year, we had given out (and shipped out) prizes, including custom, one-of-a-kind medallions designed just for this convention. Here are last years' medal prizes, to give everyone an idea of what we're going to offer to our contest winners for this year as well:





We also have specific prizes for extreme and adult video submissions, so if your video was too over-the-top to qualify for conventions' general contests, submit it to us. You have to be 18 to enter the adult contest, but really that's all that's required to participate in the extreme contests. So, submit what you like. We'll definitely consider it.

Finally, even if you do not make the finalists list for the AMV contest, your videos will be shown in the Overflow block during the convention. Our AMV Room is a large theater with a 250-capacity seating arena professionally run by Department Head and video guru Vlad Pohnert. Here's a picture of what it looks like:
