Hi guys,
I'm new to this community so I hope I'm doing this right. I signed up solely because Youtube removed this video from my channel for copyright infringement, so I moved the video here.

Anime: Darker than Black
Artist: Coheed and Cambria
Song: Welcome Home
It's fairly old now, but feedback would still be appreciated. I hope to create more AMV's soon within this "safe" environment. =x
Thanks.

Hi Aevitas. welcome to the community.
I watched the video and edit wise it was decent.
I really liked the first minute but after that i didn't like it that much.
Maybe because, i didn't like the vocals or because of its length.
Anyway, like i said it was decent
----------
Note : Try using the Viddid Function when you announce something:
Its simple, you write :
[vidid]#####[/vidid]
##### = the number of the Amv
In this case : 174330
And you get :

Re: Darker than Black: Welcome Home
The idea behind this was great. I just wished that you would had taken advantage of a few more story elements of Darker then Black. For example, adding in scenes of Misaki and Yin would have added a nice love triage to your AMV. I'm not sure when you completed this, but scenes from the second season would have also improved the AMV's story.
Anway, this AMV was good. Its a bit long, but I really liked the way that you edited some of the scenes.

"I remember watching it on youtube. It was actually got me started on doing the song for my last "made for youtube" amv with the same song. It was pretty good. I liked the beginning, but I lost interest after a little while.
Hope you like the community. I have since I started being a part of it.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, so I'm going to guess it's from the second season. I made this AMV before the second season was even announced, so I thought this was all the footage there will ever be. Thanks for the feedback so far guys.kireblue wrote:The idea behind this was great. I just wished that you would had taken advantage of a few more story elements of Darker then Black. For those who mentioned it, what caused you to lose interest later on in the video? Did the cuts become generic?

Re: Darker than Black: Welcome Home
the technic is called "A Scope" of story telling.Aevitas wrote:.. what caused you to lose interest later on in the video? Did the cuts become generic?
You start with a point in either the person or circumstances you would like someone to notice and then expand on
"that thought" to show "how is was unique -or- could be fun -or- how quickly" a situation could go right/wrong. Then
you END the SCOPE by returning to where you started and show "whether" they chose "that path" or not.
.. the idea behind a scope is a quick view of any subject < right or wrong > how "they" dwelt with it.

Yours is not telling us anything ....
