Like alot of other people, I am not a big fan of live action in amvs, but other than that it was alright.

While generally live action doesn't work too well. This actually worked pretty oke so I honestly don't see what the whining is about.
Some of the camera/shake work was dodgy here here there but still enjoyable.

The live action isn't that bad, in my opinion. It doesn't really take anything away for me. I thought it was a pretty solid short video, especially considering I don't even like this anime. Good job

Re: Flyaway -Mini Amv-
I actually find myself agreeing with him. While I'm not fond of mixing between anime and live action, I've found that in some cases it blends really good, but here I found it a bit forced to the video. I found it a shame for the video to finish that quick instead of crafting a concept for it. Aside from that, I think that it's technically fine and that sync wasn't bad at all.NS wrote:IMO the integration of The live action footage didn't really work in this case. The sync was alright and the abrupt end actually kinda worked in this case. The LA sorta worked, but sorta didn't.. Idk. it was alright.

Re: Flyaway -Mini Amv-
Ok, now I feel better so I can give my full review.
Positive Remarks:
1) The ending fade out to the eye was really well done and a great close to the AMV. Wish we had more like that.
2) Integration of the live action footage was actually pretty well. I went into the video expecting a music video, and got just that. I mean, if you really think about it, this could pass as a legitimate music video. Just replace all the anime footage with scenery or real life Japanese actors, and that's what you've got. Pulling that off, in my opinion anyway, was really nice. I'm keeping it for that reason.
3) From :10 to :30, that was really well edited and had a really great flow to it. I loved the rapid changing of live action to anime battle.
Constructive Critisism:
1) These Zero scenes are "overused". Not saying to the extent that Naruto is overused, but I've got 2 other AMV's using these exact same scenes.
2) Blurring effect like around :33 were unncessary in my opinion and was more or less there just for sync purposes.
3) Video quality? Meh-beh? Just a lil'?
Overall, it was just enjoyable from my perspective. I enjoy these kinds of videos that try to emulate music videos you'd see on television, and it was done quite well. While some of the sync towards the end [see 2 in cc] was a lil quickly thrown together, it worked as a singular piece that I'll be enjoying for a while to come.
