Guys, cut the flames and stick to the topic, will you?

People watch videos for different reasons. To some people, some things matter more than others; and given the heavy technical focus we have in the community, the fact that some people would really focus on editing above all is not surprising.

Likewise, people make videos for different reasons. For some makers and viewers, there's no meeting point, no way to reconcile motives - so? That doesn't actually mean anything.

As for Naruto videos, one of the big reasons there are so many of these around is that there is always an audience for them. Just that this audience is in a minority among community-savvy editors - which says nothing whatsoever about the desirability of Naruto videos in general.

Short version: don't listen to the man behind the curtain if you want to make Naruto videos. You may have trouble getting feedback here and from this particular community, but there is an audience out there for you. On the other hand, as was already said, make it good and it will make people here more receptive, whatever the source.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

:nono: I'm pretty sure that feedback and audience, are really different criteria.

good feedback comes from observation, more than from fan-love...if someone who hates the anime gives you a good comment or likes your amv, it becomes the best feedback.

You were fortunate to release your old videos during a time when people actually left criticism.

In the last 6 months of trying to be an active member here, I've seen new members' videos repeatedly slammed without the slightest attempt at constructive criticism. It's one thing if the video has literally been made a dozen times -- quite a few examples of this out there, I'm sure -- but rather than to specifically point this out or try to encourage the new editor to try different things, they're dismissed with sarcastic smilies and aggressive flaming. Not that established editors get comments any more in depth than "OMG /ghets" and "FTW! :amv: " so I guess the bar for feedback in 2010 isn't that hard to top casually step over if anyone even bothers to do it anymore. I know there's a thread every week with a post like this in it so I don't know why I'm bothering to make one now.

My girlfriend just made some Naruto videos and I'm really hesitant to suggest that she actively share them here. Some of the themes are on the overused side so I'm a little hesitant to see her thrown to the wolves for them

I am not against people who are using Naruto, especially for new editors should be a good way to practice....
Editing always should be something fun, satisfying our creativity, even with limited audience or feedback...

I am really not against Naruto just dislike Sasuke (the overhyped, gayish, emoish angsty looser characters and of course his fanpussiez)
Anyway this anime should be called long ago "Sasuke" because Kishimoto is tend to sucking Sasuke's feet all the time, everíthing is going around that guy.
The main point is to be original: adding something new, some surplus into that always seen scenes be it effect or story... anything.....otherwise I do not show any hurray-optimistic attitude toward Naruto AMVs and (AMWs).... :nono:
