A comedians routine pops into mind at first, and I've seen the rare attempt to use those in short AMV Hell like segments, but I mean something more like this. At the moment I can only think of one vid even remotely like that, doki's animated inspirational poster (which I really like despite the dismissive name I've given it). I've taken a look at some Bobby Gaylor stuff before; however, I'm lazy so I'll never get around to doing that. Maybe someone else can?
I hate these :/ IMO it's just an attempt to have the audio out-play the video. There is little to NO creativity (exception being ask a ninja *_*) in that it's usually just lip syncing.

Nevermind I watched your examples and in the right hands they can be good, but generally they suck. Just like movie trailers, all about literal sync and/ or lip sync.

The comedian thing I feel has been played out on the tube (AMV Comedians), like Knowname said, nothing but lip sync. On the other hand, that first link you posted, though I have no idea how that could be transcribed into an AMV, the video itself is pretty epic. I have to admit, I LOLed during the part when he had to reload the .50cal.

"Why the fuck would the ammo for the .50 cal be on the outside of the vehicle!?"

At least it's funny to me, because I know if his Stryker had it outside, I'm sure that means the Battalion's SOP stated that all Stryker vehicles carry their ammo on the outside... I'm sure that comes down to some safety consideration bullshit.

Anywho... I've derailed this thread enough

MTV totally shows music videos. From like 3am to 9am. I'VE BEEN THERE, MAN. I'VE SEEN IT.

Nope, it was on this morning. And I can recall it being like that since 2001 and earlier.

I remember watching a stop motion video from NIN in the late 90s late at night, iirc. VH1 used to as well, though I'm not sure if they still do. One thing I disliked about VH1 was they repeated some videos a lot (Cher's Believe and Shania Twain's That don't Impress Me Much come to mind) :|
