Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Evangelion ID4 release (late announcement)

Post by Nikaido » Mon Oct 26, 2009 3:18 am

Sorry it took so long to announce this release but I barely started to use the forum today. Also these are my first releases of decent quality.

Video: Evangelion ID4 Teaser Trailer
Category: Action, Serious, Trailer
Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV)
Audio: Independence Day Teaser Trailer
Creator: Bill (Nikaido Hirachi Productions)

Video: Evangelion ID4 Theatrical Trailer
Category: Action, Serious, Trailer
Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV)
Audio: Independence Day Theatrical Trailer
Creator: Bill (Nikaido Hirachi Productions)
[NOTE] Premiere got glitchy during final encoding, and then my premiere file got corrupted before I could encode a better copy.

i dont know, i dont like it so much. Some scenes looked like, that they dont fit, and the quality was not really the best, some hard frameblendings and it looks like some interlacing, but i dont know if there was a problem with my laptop.

Yea some scenes were filler for the sound effects from the trailer. The quality problem may be from the fact that I was using still frames for the lip syncing, reversing clips, and looping clips. The interlacing is a problem with my Premiere 2.0 and the XVID codec. I've had that problem with every video I've made whether it's a home movie or an AMV. May be time to shell out the money to upgrade to cs3 or cs4.

But yea, these are my first decent, or sub-decent, releases (first crack in AMV editing in over 5 years), so I'm expecting a lot of negative feedback and critiques which I find helpful for my next project, since it is a learning experience.
