Most of those pre-existing condition people wouldn't even be allowed in the military unless some jackass fucktard recruiter decided to let someone in by fudging their documents, which has been known to happen.. A LOT. However, good luck at SURVIVING Basic... What does the military care? that's one less person to insure/house/feed anyways, and they can get their numbers from somewhere else, or another recruiter fudging paperwork.kenisama wrote:I say, if you want free health care... join the military... you want it free for life... retire from the military.
Tricare is major fail.. but it's better than nothing at all at the same time, at the least I can afford my medications and occasionally see a doctor, and ER visits are free, without it I'd still be on Primatene , which was taken off the market a while back (though I think I've seen it back on the shelves again), and wondering how much the next doctor visit is going to cost out of pocket, then I'd have been royally screwed.
As far as health care reform goes, it does need reform, I just don't know what kind. As someone pointed out: the consumer is blind to the details of the system and "why a 5 minute scan costs in the thousands".
Ironically the Army is using the "Economic Crisis" to scare people into re-enlisting... Sad that they should feel the need to scare people into wanting to serve their country for a bit longer.
I sometimes think that America is it's own biggest terrorist since they love using scare tactics to get people to do what they want.
